"Captain, are you all right?" Siyou Qilong asked with concern, handing over a bottle of recovery potion.
Mu Fengyu took the potion and drained it in one gulp. Feeling his stamina rapidly return, he showed a tired but satisfied smile. "I'm fine. These little nobodies were easy to handle." He looked around at the corpses of those who had once been enemies, and a surge of pride rose in his heart.
Whitebrim stepped forward and patted Mu Fengyu on the shoulder. "All right, quit showing off and get moving. If more people show up, we'll get surrounded again. Wait, why did I say 'again'?" As he spoke, he thought back carefully, then suddenly realized as he looked over the corpse-strewn battlefield that this seemed not to be the first time.
Siyou Qilong nodded in agreement. "Right. We need to clean up the battlefield, collect the loot, and find somewhere safe to rest."
Everyone immediately began moving, gathering equipment and items from the battlefield.
Mu Fengyu checked his backpack and discovered that aside from the damaged crimson greatsword, there were several pieces of rare equipment dropped by the enemies.
"Damn, are they all this poor?" Mu Fengyu said disdainfully. "These pieces of equipment aren't even worth my appearance fee."
Even if the greatswords had been given out by the system, he had still paid the production team to make them. Four had exploded in a single battle, and this junk was nowhere near worth his hard-earned cash.
"All right, all right, Yu, stop complaining." Bukubukuchagama took out a map and pointed to a marker on it. "Let's go here. It's a hidden valley where we can rest up. There are only thirty minutes left before the event ends, so we'll have to see whether the other teams can still gain anything."
