Background
Mu Fengyu created Vier with 100 NPC creation points and exceptionally costly materials: the Eternal Stone and Blood of Calamity. The Blood of Calamity granted resistance against World Disasters, while the Eternal Stone enabled perpetual growth and evolution, immunity to aging, and immortality. 11
Before Vier became active, Mu Fengyu planned for her to retaliate against Bukubukuchagama for questioning the expense of her creation. 11 Her intended work schedule was supposedly one day of work followed by six days of rest, with opportunities to ambush enemies from behind. 104 105
Following her successful defense against invaders, however, Mu Fengyu reassigned her to gather Nazarick's Seven-Colored Ore. She spent roughly five years mining, casting spells until her MP ran out and then continuing with a pickaxe. 100 The prolonged assignment left her exhausted and resentful toward her creator. 103 104
Appearance
Vier is a small, blue-haired witch with pink-blue eyes. When first created, she wore a white pleated skirt and possessed a languid, detached expression. 11 104
- Long blue hair described as flowing like a waterfall. 11
- Usually travels by riding or flying on her staff. 103 132
- Uses a silver-and-white woven staff in battle. 18
- Wore a miner's hat during her time in the Seven-Colored Mine. 185
- A large statue on the Fourth Floor depicts her in a pointed witch's hat, hands on hips, with a high-grade staff floating behind her. 184
Personality
Vier is fundamentally lazy and greatly values rest. After returning from five years of mining, she immediately retreated to her bed and happily indulged in the chance to sleep. 103 She regards the mining assignment as an injustice and openly resents having been forced to work far beyond the conditions promised to her. 104 105
Despite this, she is intensely loyal to Nazarick and reveres the Supreme Beings. When Whitebrim, Touch Me, and Takemikazuchi infiltrated Nazarick with their memories lost, Vier urgently tried to remind them of their identities and protect the tomb from them. 152 She is also strict with her subordinates, dismissing low estimates of intruders as foolish because anyone reaching deep into Nazarick must be formidable. 151
Vier has a teasing, vindictive streak toward Mu Fengyu. She eagerly volunteered to expel him from Nazarick, then publicly paraded him through its corridors while bound. 131 132 Yet his affection and praise easily fluster her, and she becomes visibly embarrassed when he embraces or teases her. 105 132
