Background / History

The Seagod designated Tang San as his successor and intervened when Chen Ping'an attempted to kill him during the academy competition. He repeatedly sent down Seagod's Light to shield Tang San, but Chen Ping'an's attacks shattered the protection within seconds. Unable to descend directly without violating the God Realm's rules, the Seagod summoned Seagod Island's High Priestess, Poseidon, to extract Tang San from the battlefield 49 50.

While Tang San underwent the Seagod Nine Trials, the Seagod chose to wait rather than deploy a God Realm spokesperson against Chen Ping'an. He expected Tang San's completed inheritance to resolve the threat 62.

Chen Ping'an's assault on Seagod Island destroyed its Sacred Pillars and forced the Seagod to send a divine sense into the mortal world. The divine sense possessed power comparable to a Level 2 God, but Chen Ping'an destroyed it using the Immortal Slaying, Immortal Execution, and Immortal Trapping Swords. The Seagod suffered backlash, while the channel opened to supply divine power remained open and affected the Douluo Continent's luck 71 72.

To save Tang San from the Four Immortal Slaying Swords, the Seagod forcibly accelerated his inheritance. He expended substantial divine power reinforcing his phantom and restoring the Seagod Trident, enabling Tang San to ascend as the Seagod and a First Level God 89.

Afterward, the Seagod empowered Old Jack to Level 2 God and ordered him to gather other Level 100 experts to kill Chen Ping'an and erase his soul. His one-way passage to the mortal world later drew condemnation from other gods, who considered it a threat to the God Realm 91.

Personality

The Seagod is fiercely protective of Tang San, repeatedly risking prohibited intervention to prevent his successor's death. He is nevertheless cautious about openly descending to the mortal world, aware that direct divine interference could expose him to consequences under God Realm rules 49 50.

Chen Ping'an's defiance provokes him into open anger, but he continues prioritizing Tang San's inheritance and survival over an immediate confrontation. His decision to leave a passage to the mortal world for his own plans is later criticized by other gods as selfish and dangerous 62 89 91.
