Background / History

Tang San first appears during Shrek Academy’s entrance assessment alongside Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, and Zhu Zhuqing. Confident that his team can defeat the young replacement examiner, he attacks Chen Ping'an with Blue Silver Entanglement. Chen destroys the vines, grabs Tang San by the head, and hurls him into a crater. 2

After Tang Hao confronts Chen Ping'an, Tang San arrives late enough to recognize his father’s silhouette. Tang Hao’s death causes Tang San to collapse unconscious. 4 He later faces the masked “Ping An” at the Great Spirit Arena to avenge Xiao Wu, but is knocked unconscious by a single punch despite using Blue Silver Grass and Blue Silver Entanglement. 9

Tang San becomes the Shrek group’s authority on Immortal Herbs at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, identifying the available herbs and directing his companions’ consumption. His own cultivation rises to Level 48, while his Purple Demon Eyes advance to the Mustard Seed level. 40 44

During the Heaven Dou Royal Fighting Team’s match against Tianshui, Tang San commands the opening attack and uses Blue Silver Cage. Tang San is intensely self-confident in combat, believing himself invincible among opponents of the same rank and willing to challenge stronger foes. This confidence repeatedly turns into arrogance, particularly after he obtains a 10,000-year fourth Soul Ring. 9 48
