Background
Fu Ling belongs to Starfire’s younger generation and devoted herself to cultivation from an early age. Despite growing up after the apocalyptic collapse, she studies surviving historical knowledge and applies it to modern strategy. She proposed turning a beast-infested buffer zone into an outpost, arguing that its development could reverse Starfire’s earlier resource disadvantage. 555
Under Ye Xiu’s instruction, she learns to balance caution with decisive risk-taking. When pressed to judge whether Starfire could face the Kabbalah Order’s bishops, she proposes confronting and eliminating the pursuing Order members to secure their territory. 547
Ye Xiu later places Fu Ling in command of the Ice-Snow Mountain beast territories. By the time he returns to the Apocalypse World, she has completed the basic integration of Bing Zhucheng’s royal territory and its subordinate tribes. 565
Appearance
Fu Ling is a young human woman described as naturally attractive, though she usually pays little attention to dressing herself. After entering a shared-faith cultivation arrangement, she bears a small dazzling crystal on her forehead. 702
- Dark, pitch-black eyes that intimidate Zhucheng Tribe members. 568
- Usually wears a characteristic teasing or cheerful smile, even while issuing threats. 573 600
- Possesses a blue crystal on her forehead after her spiritual power is transformed. 703
- Favors Starfire-style clothing. 702
Personality
Fu Ling is calculating, self-assured, and intensely pragmatic. She prefers stability and does not allow outside opinions to sway her decisions, but she also recognizes when a calculated gamble is necessary. Ye Xiu considers this balance essential to a Starfire cultivator. 547
She is ruthless toward divided loyalties and treats fear, resources, and political pressure as tools of governance. During the destruction of a Zhucheng settlement, she orders her subordinate army to eliminate survivors and burn the site, rebuking anyone who hesitates over killing their own kind. 605
Fu Ling is also vindictive in personal disputes. After Fu Mingzhou attempts to embarrass her in a duel, she continues attacking after his surrender and beats him until his face is covered in frostbite-like bruises. 703
Her confidence extends even to Qian Qi, whom she openly mocks despite his status as a faith-based existence. She respects Ye Xiu’s judgment and follows his wider strategy, but does not defer easily to anyone else. 562 707
Abilities & Skills
Spiritual Energy Attachment
Fu Ling can use her spiritual energy as a guidance layer for weapons supplied by Ye Xiu’s warship.
- Directs cannon shells repurposed as flying swords with precise target coordinates. 568
- Requires Ye Xiu’s spiritual-energy attachment and the warship shell’s energy to operate the full three-layer system. 568
- Can simultaneously control up to three guided shells. 569
- Her own spiritual-power output and control precision limit the number and maneuverability of guided weapons. 568 569
Wind and Frost Divine Abilities
Through transformed spiritual power and synchronization with Fu Gui, Fu Ling gains access to techniques she could not naturally cultivate.
- Creates powerful winds capable of carving a route through Fu Mingzhou’s sea of flames. 703
- Coats her attacks in frost, enhancing both speed and striking power. 703
- Combines frost and flames on her longsword in battle against Cult missionaries. 719
- Her abilities are not Fu Gui’s borrowed power; their spiritual-energy signatures remain distinct despite their synchronization. 704
Close-Quarters Combat
Fu Ling combines firearms, a longsword, and heavy physical strikes in aggressive combat.
- Uses a shotgun and spiritual bullets to break protective techniques. 703
- Favors powerful punches, enhanced by wind and frost effects. 703
- Uses a longsword with overwhelming sword intent to suppress Bing Zhucheng. 558
- Charged directly into three physically superior Cult missionaries and bisected them with her sword. 719

- Leads coordinated perimeter volleys against the Chimera beast while prioritizing troop preservation. 720
Shared-Faith Cultivation
Fu Ling bears a crystallized mark connected to Qian Qi’s shared-faith system.
- Synchronizes spiritual-energy nature with Fu Gui, enabling faster adaptation of each other’s techniques. 702 704
