Background / History

Three hundred years before its reopening, the lineage was known as Little Clear Peak. Its original peak master cultivated the Seven Kills Sword Manual, suffered qi deviation, and massacred the peak; more than a thousand disciples died, while only the current peak master survived. The peak’s former name was erased from Mount Fangcun’s register of lineages after the calamity. 503

The surviving peak master later attained the Great Dao Golden Core realm and forcibly restored the lineage to the sect register under the name Little Green Peak. The mountain gate was reopened only twice by the time Zhou Jing joined, leaving the peak with a thin foundation and few disciples. 503

The earlier massacre also devastated several other Mount Fangcun lineages. Jade Splendor Peak suffered losses second only to Little Green Peak—including its peak master—and has retained a deep-seated grudge against Little Green Peak. 524

When it reopened, Little Green Peak received roughly a dozen new disciples, largely those passed over by other branches. Its small population and low-ranked reputation made it the least conspicuous of Mount Fangcun’s eighteen lineages. 501 504

Little Green Peak begins its renewed recruitment in a weak position: it has few disciples, receives low-rated recruits, and is openly dismissed by other branches. Dragon Head Peak and Jade Splendor Peak soon challenge its disciples before the Star-Plucking Assembly, exposing the gap between Little Green Peak and the stronger lineages. 501 504 505

Qi Ling’s victory against Jade Splendor Peak halts the peak’s early losing streak, though the confrontation confirms that other lineages are testing Little Green Peak’s strength and morale. 506

Spirit-Field Blight and Internal Threats

An infestation in the western spirit fields threatens the peak’s spiritual resources. The insects are identified as descendants of the Purple-Gold Heavenly Horn Ant, whose unchecked reproduction could drain all spiritual energy from Little Green Peak within days or weeks. 524 526
