The Army of the Light's greatest faith and pillar was A'dal, the High Naaru. When Illidan shattered Xe'ra, the Mother of Light, with Eye Beam outside the Tomb of Sargeras, the Army of the Light suffered an outright collapse of faith.
All of the Army of the Light's elite forces had gathered within Shattrath. Hundreds of thousands of Lightbound and Lightforged assembled in this city of holy light to fight for A'dal, the High Naaru.
Above Shattrath, A'dal, the High Naaru, and O'ros, the golden Naaru, continuously bombarded each other with Holy Light energy.
The appearance of a golden Naaru that stood on Azeroth's side dealt a tremendous blow to the morale of the Army of the Light's Lightbound and Lightforged.
Golden Naaru were royalty among the Naaru, while A'dal, the High Naaru, was comparable to a chancellor.
As long as A'dal, the High Naaru, vanished or was defeated, O'ros, the golden Naaru, could use the Army of the Light's faith in the Naaru to directly control the entire Army of the Light, just as A'dal had done.
Even while A'dal, the High Naaru, remained unharmed, the Lightforged Draenei of the Army of the Light who had come from a parallel universe immediately chose to abandon their faith in A'dal upon seeing O'ros, the golden Naaru, and fanatically followed O'ros instead.
Other than the highest-ranking Lightforged, such as Archbishop Turalyon of the Army of the Light, A'dal, the High Naaru, had no way to brainwash every Lightforged in the Army of the Light. After all, his power was weaker than Xe'ra, the Mother of Light. That was why the Army of the Light on Draenor in the parallel world was called the Lightbound, and why their strength was far inferior to Xe'ra's Lightforged.
This was why those Lightforged of the
