The Explorers' League outpost was wiped out by Asas Bleedingheart and Luminus Sunscar. Not a single Dwarf escaped.

That was because the Vrykul undead had tightly surrounded the Explorers' League outpost, while Luminus Sunscar had sealed off their only escape route with ice.

Dwarves could not fly. There was no way they could jump directly off a cliff thousands of meters high; that would be nothing but certain death.

Asas Bleedingheart continued cleaning up the traces, leaving the Alliance no chance to discover that they were responsible and framing the Scourge instead.

Meanwhile, Luminus Sunscar searched the Explorers' League outpost for information on their next move. Her instincts told her this was merely an advance force from the Explorers' League.

Sure enough, after a careful search, Luminus Sunscar found a secret letter on the body of a finely dressed Dwarf commander.

Elves' long lifespans allowed them to learn a great deal, and Luminus Sunscar was therefore familiar with the languages once spoken by the Alliance races. Though the Dwarven handwriting had a wild, cursive quality to it, Luminus Sunscar still recognized it.

"Brann Bronzebeard..."

Upon seeing the crucial news that Brann Bronzebeard had most likely arrived in Northrend, she immediately transmitted it back to Rend.

Rend carefully read the letter. It instructed the Explorers' League outpost to prepare for Brann Bronzebeard's arrival; he had already boarded a ship bound for Northrend.

Brann Bronzebeard had already boarded the ship when this letter was sent, and the letter had arrived several days ago. That meant Brann Bronzebeard had an eighty percent chance of already reaching Northrend, though he had yet to arrive at the Explorers' League outpost.
