News of Dranosh leading the Warsong Offensive to breach Azjol-Nerub and kill Anub'arak quickly spread across Northrend. The Blackrock Expeditionary Force received the news at once as well.

"Not bad, Dranosh." Rend looked over the battle report with satisfaction. Though fewer than five thousand of the original twenty thousand remained, they had accomplished such a feat. The Valiance Expedition at neighboring Wintergarde Keep had suffered tens of thousands of casualties at the hands of Naxxramas before they could even begin their counterattack.

Rend shifted his gaze to the battlefield before him, where the Warsong Offensive and the eastern force of the Alliance Valiance Expedition were locked in fierce combat. "I should get started too. It's time to rendezvous in Dragonblight."

Though the Alliance and the Horde shared the Scourge as a common enemy, conflicts over resources and interests were inevitable.

Given the current situation in Grizzly Hills, the Valiance Expedition and the Blackrock Expeditionary Force had to fight. Only by forcing the other side to withdraw could they continue advancing into Dragonblight or Zul'Drak. Otherwise, they would merely hold each other back.

The Furbolg civil unrest had yet to subside, and the Alliance Valiance Expedition had lost this important ally. For the Blackrock Expeditionary Force, this was the best possible opportunity.

Though the Alliance Valiance Expedition had lost the Furbolgs as allies, Archbishop Turalyon had received reinforcements. He was equally confident, and so both sides tacitly began their battle in Grizzly Hills.

The Alliance Third Legion and the Army of the Light's Lightforged Draenei were engaged in a chaotic inland battle in Grizzly Hills against the Trifarix Legion of the Blackrock Expeditionary Force.

The Alliance Sixth Legion and the Bloodscalp Tribe of the Trifarix Legion fought over Blue Sky Logging Camp.
