The Beaten Little Red Dragon

The Blackrock Expeditionary Force and the eastern army of the Valiance Expedition officially entered Dragonblight, marking the gathering of the Horde's and Alliance Expedition's elite forces. However, before they could formally attack the Wrathgate, the gateway to Icecrown Glacier, the Blue Dragonflight and Red Dragonflight, which had been facing off at Wyrmrest Temple, finally grew restless.

Because the Ruby Dragonshrine had fallen to the Scourge, the enraged red dragons turned their fury upon the Blue Dragonflight's sanctuary. Relying on their numerical advantage, they launched a surprise attack on the Azure Dragonshrine.

The Azure Dragonshrine was already very close to Wyrmrest Temple, so most of the blue dragons went out to meet the attack. As a result, the green dragons from the Emerald Dragonshrine east of the Azure Dragonshrine took the opportunity to raid their home.

Although Ysera, the slumbering Green Dragon Queen, did not participate in the battle, this operation represented the Green Dragonflight taking the Red Dragonflight's side. That was understandable, though. After all, Ysera and Alexstrasza, the Red Dragon Queen, were sisters.
