The Pillars of Creation referred to the true divine artifacts left behind on Azeroth by the Titans. Aside from Sargeras, there were six Titans in the Pantheon, yet there were only five artifacts granted by the Pillars of Creation.

One of them was the Tear of Elune. Elune had always been a mysterious presence on Azeroth, but she was definitely not a Titan. So why was one of the Titan artifacts called the Tear of Elune?

In the Legion expansion, Dalaran had exactly six places reserved for the Pillars of Creation, corresponding to the six Titans. But in the end, due to map cuts and other reasons, the Pillars of Creation became five artifacts.
