Ionar had sought refuge in the Halls of Lightning before pledging himself to Loken, the King of Wisdom. In other words, Ionar had previously betrayed Al'Akir the Windlord, which was why he was so terrified upon seeing the sword of Thunderaan, the once incomparably powerful Prince of Air.
Azeroth had four Elemental Lords, far more powerful than Draenor's Elemental Fury. The greatest difference was that Draenor's Elemental Fury were free, while Azeroth's four Elemental Lords had once served the Old Gods.
Those four Elemental Lords were Ragnaros the Firelord, Al'Akir the Windlord, Neptulon the Tidehunter, and Therazane the Stonemother.
The strongest among them was Ragnaros the Firelord, whom Rend had driven back into the Molten Core. The weakest was Al'Akir the Windlord. In the players' eyes, Al'Akir also had another name: Al'Garbage...
No one knew why Ionar had rebelled, but he had submitted himself to Loken, the King of Wisdom, supplying Loken's army of steel with an endless stream of energy.
"I once spoke with Thunderaan. I regarded him as a friend. Since you are a traitor to the air elementals, I will use his sword to finish you!" When Med'an the Guardian obtained Thunderfury, he inevitably communicated with Thunderaan, the Prince of Air who dwelled within the blade.
Relying on his immense magic power, Med'an the Guardian raised an arcane shield to withstand Ionar's attacks, then swung Thunderfury, continuously absorbing the energy Ionar released.
"No, you can't do this!" Ionar was becoming hysterical, but his mind remained clear. Seeing that Med'an was both a mage and a shaman, he assumed Med'an could not be skilled in close combat. He closed the distance, intending to use his weapon to kill this damned mortal.
But Ionar failed to notice that as he closed in, Med'an was smiling as well. Aside from
