Postwar Situation

The situation in Stranglethorn Vale that followed was difficult to put into words.

After the battle that had seemed to be a clash between the wills of Khorne and Slaanesh, the fighting between the Zaun trolls and the New Hakkari trolls did not cease.

However, no further twists arose. Leading the numerically superior Zaun Allied Forces, Tonatiuh spent half a month fighting his way straight up to the New Hakkari Highlands—the former Bloodscalp Highlands.

For some reason, ever since that Khorne warrior had died, the New Hakkari trolls had remained fiercely determined to fight. Yet they could no longer organize any meaningful attacks, and under the assault of the Zaun Allied Forces led by Tonatiuh, they collapsed completely.

Only after reaching the New Hakkari Highlands—the lair of these newly emerged New Hakkari trolls in Stranglethorn Vale—did Tonatiuh finally understand why.

"These terrifying trolls seem to have no leader?" Shandris asked in confusion as she looked at the tens of thousands of surrendered New Hakkari trolls who remained. As a military adviser, she had taken part in many battles over the past half month.

After half a month of continuous warfare, the more than three hundred thousand New Hakkari trolls had been reduced to fewer than one hundred thousand and cornered in the New Hakkari Highlands. But that did not mean the Zaun Allied Forces had wiped out over two hundred thousand trolls. A large number of New Hakkari trolls had broken down and fled during the fighting, scattering into the jungle.
