The Consequences of Having a Second Child

The weather was fair, and the sun shone brightly.

Aside from the region where the central Maelstrom lay, most of the Great Sea was usually very calm.

Upon the boundless ocean, thousands of elven and troll warships had gathered together and were steadily advancing northeast.

On the aft deck of one of the troll fleet's flagships, the large warship Zul, which had been launched just three months ago.

Two little girls stood facing each other. Calling them girls was generous; they could only be considered toddlers at most.

One still walked unsteadily, while the other, though already half as tall as a troll, still had the proportions of a young child in her features and limbs.

They were Aisha Vashj'ir Tonatiuh and Maisli Tonatiuh.

The eldest and second daughters of the God-King.

This was their first meeting.

A raptor, somewhat larger than Maisli, stood nearby, looking utterly at a loss before the scene.

Being a nanny isn't easy! Gani sighed inwardly.

Maisli, twice as tall and more than twice as old as Aisha, looked down at the tiny child before her.

She found her rather endearing.

Even if she was cold-looking.

"You're Aisha, right? Father said you're my little sister, and I'm your big sister! Remember to listen to me from now on!" Maisli had over a dozen Naga big sisters in Zutona, so she understood very clearly what being an elder or younger sister meant.

Unlike Maisli's clear speech, Aisha's words were still somewhat muddled. "Big sister... okay. Listen... no..."

Maisli's eyes widened. Just as she was about to say something, her beautiful moon-colored eyes turned, and she grinned as she pulled out a string of—lollipops—from the pouch at her waist!

They were candies threaded onto wooden sticks, giving off an enticing fragrance beneath the sunlight.
