"Clark, are you afraid that the future Miss Cassandra predicted will come true?"

On the way to biology class, Pete asked Clark in a low voice.

"Yes. Even though it sounds crazy, she showed me some bad things. I don't know how to describe the feeling."

"Clark, I know that feeling."

Unlike Jonathan and Martha, Pete did not doubt Clark. Instead, he sympathized with what Clark had said.

"When I first met Miss Cassandra, she told me my trip home today would be a little long. So I checked my pockets and found out I'd locked my car keys inside the car."

Clark explained to Pete, looking lost.

"Even though I don't know what you saw, Clark, you can't blame someone for something that hasn't happened. Especially when he's family."

Pete said seriously.

"I understand. I'm not blaming Eric. I just don't know how to face him."

"Mm-hmm. That's entirely up to you, brother."

Pete stopped talking and looked behind him.

Chloe and Lana were sitting together. Somehow, the two had become close friends and were leaning together, whispering to each other.

Lana seemed distracted, frequently glancing toward her left.
