At first, scattered sparks appeared on the screen. Then the flames gradually spread and grew until the entire movie screen was burning.
The students watching the movie screamed as soon as they saw the screen catch fire and rushed outside.
Clark stared at the blazing flames before him in shock, frozen for a moment.
Did I cause this?!
"We need to go, Clark."
Pete had no idea the fire was connected to Clark. He grabbed his arm and pulled him toward the exit.
"All right, everyone, don't panic. Leave the classroom in an orderly manner, and leave your books behind!"
Atkins remained relatively calm as she shouted at the panicked students fleeing the classroom.
Eric, seated in the back, watched the burning movie screen before glancing at Clark as he stumbled out. A thoughtful expression appeared on his face.

At Kent Farm, Jonathan looked at Clark.
"Dad, no one was hurt. Eric put out the fire before it spread, so nobody was injured."
Clark explained to his parents.
"So, I need an explanation."
Jonathan set down his glass of water and asked Clark, "How did you set the movie screen on fire?"
Clark spoke helplessly to his parents. "My eyes just felt a little hot, like they were burning. Then flames appeared wherever I looked, just like Eric."
As he spoke, he looked toward Eric, who was sitting nearby. "Eric can make things catch fire with his eyes too. I think I probably awakened the same ability as him."
"Eric could control his eyes from the beginning, Clark," Jonathan said. "But your eyes... don't seem to be under control."
"So... what am I supposed to do?"
