Joining Forces

As the dust gradually settled, Lu Mingyu's figure became clearer and clearer. From his silhouette, it was apparent that he was still standing. He did not move at all, like a statue.

Spider-Man, who had been sent flying back, struggled to remove his mask. Looking at Lu Mingyu, he knew he had lost. But once all the dust had cleared, Lu Mingyu's appearance became rather comical.

Though Lu Mingyu was standing, his body had been stuck fast by spiderwebs, leaving him unable to move.

Spider-Man had no idea why Lu Mingyu had gotten caught in his webbing, but he no longer had the strength to move either. Lu Mingyu hung somewhat dazed within the webbing, seemingly rattled by the impact of their collision.

As time dragged on, Tony's helpless voice rang out. "This round is a draw. Pajama Boy has no strength left to knock down Little Deer on the battlefield, while Little Deer has no stamina left to break free of the webbing. But what if this were a real fight? What if this were a battlefield? What would you do in this state? So, your next fight will be against the Iron Legion!"

Listening to Tony, Lu Mingyu suddenly felt that Tony was incredibly devious. They had tied, so there was no winner or loser, but Tony wanted both of them to lose. That was why he had released the Iron Legion after they had fought each other to the bitter end.

Both of them were trapped in difficult circumstances. In their current state, they had no way to fight the Iron Legion. Lightning flashed from Lu Mingyu's eyes as his entire body trembled. For some reason, he felt as if he could pass out at any moment.

During that clash, he had shattered Spider-Man's web-shooter enhancement system and gotten tangled in the burst of webbing. No matter how fast he was, he had been knocked into the air at that moment, with no foothold to use.

As for the dizzy feeling, it was probably because he still was not used to entering an extreme-speed state and had not properly learned to use his abilities.

Just as the doors were about to open, Lu Mingyu said to Spider-Man, "Seal the doors with webbing, now!"

"But..."

Lightning surged in Lu Mingyu's eyes like a leaking generator! He stared at Spider-Man and roared through the urge to pass out, "Now!"

Spider-Man jumped at Lu Mingyu's roar. He aimed at the doors, and webbing continuously sprayed from the intact web-shooter enhancer in his hand. In the next instant, the doors were sealed shut. The Iron Legion could not get in for the time being, at least not yet.

"What do we do now?" Spider-Man no longer had the strength to stand. He did not know how he could get back up and fight.

Lu Mingyu ignored Spider-Man and instead said to Tony through the surveillance camera, "Tony, since you said this is a battlefield, I should be able to put on Barry too!"

"You can, but who's going to deliver it to you? This is a battlefield. Right now, I'm fighting the enemy!" Tony sounded calm, but Lu Mingyu could imagine the sleazy grin on his face.

Lu Mingyu said, "You said it was your greatest creation, so I believe the armor can already fly over and equip itself on me!"

"But... you haven't entered that yet. The armor can't identify you right now."

Lu Mingyu smiled. "Funny thing, I already finished that in the lab."

"So?"

"So, I want the armor!"

Tony nodded. "Since you've put it that way, I have no choice. It's your armor now, anyway."

Laboratory.

Tony stopped the armor from moving and opened the doors sealing it inside. Every piece of the armor separated into glowing components and swiftly flew toward the training ground!

Tony complained, "Was that kid this happy and proud when he saw the armor fly too?" (Related to Iron Man 3)

Training Ground.

"Remember, you sealed the doors yourselves. What are you planning to do?" Tony's voice echoed through the training ground.

Naturally, Lu Mingyu had already considered that. He said, "The webbing won't hold for long, will it?"

Then he began vibrating wildly as lightning moved through his body, stimulating his nerves. The dizzy spell weakened more and more. With an explosion, Lu Mingyu burst free of the webbing at high speed, and the doors were blasted open at the same time!

Because the explosion had come from the doors.

Without another word, Lu Mingyu darted to Spider-Man's side and used lightning to stimulate his nerves. "This will let you stay in fighting condition for a short time, but it won't last long."

Spider-Man nodded. "Yeah, I understand."

Blue lightning coursed through Spider-Man's body, and he quickly rose from the ground. Looking at the shattered web-shooter enhancer, he said, "My God, good thing I don't have to pay for it."

Tony's face darkened by the surveillance feed. Naturally, he had heard Spider-Man's words.

Twenty Iron Legion armors charged in through the doors, while the Allen Armor flew over as well. Lu Mingyu was quickly enveloped by the dark-red armor, whose surface was marked with several streaks of blue-violet patterns glowing with a cold light.

When the visor lowered over his eyes, Lu Mingyu said, "Come on, let's fight!"

Blue lightning flashed out in an instant. Lu Mingyu dodged the flames spraying toward him, then took a massive step forward and smashed an armor to pieces!

Ice gradually spread across the floor. Lu Mingyu sighed gloomily. "How am I supposed to run on this?"

Even as he spoke, his speed gradually slowed. Spider-Man did not waste any words. He fired webbing one-handed, yanked an armor toward him, and kicked it flying. In an instant, he sprayed webbing onto the wall and used it to propel himself forward.

Spider-Man was incredibly strong. In the process, he sent at least three armors flying.

Lu Mingyu stepped on the armors and darted back and forth across them, mainly because the ground was simply impossible to stand on. Spider-Man noticed the same issue and stuck himself directly to the wall. At the same time, he fired webbing from his left hand and glued an armor that was releasing freezing air to the ground.

At that moment, an extremely fast armor rammed Spider-Man and sent him flying. Watching Spider-Man get knocked away, Lu Mingyu thought, That slow won't do. He raced across the armors, and the armor he wore gave him a degree of protection. Thus, Lu Mingyu entered an extreme-speed state and punched directly into the armor's chest. At the same time, Spider-Man smashed apart the armor that had sent him flying.

Lu Mingyu nodded. "Only these few armors are left. We'll win soon."

Spider-Man said, "Good thing you're keeping them occupied. But you keep jumping around on top of the armors. How are you attacking them?"

"Didn't I just smash one?"

Blue lightning kept racing across the different armors. Spider-Man felt that he had already adapted to this state. Perhaps one day, he might truly be able to fight an extreme-speedster.

At least, that was what Spider-Man thought. He watched Lu Mingyu's blue lightning and knew the battle was not over yet.

Relying on the Allen Armor's defenses, Lu Mingyu smashed another armor to pieces. What he did not know was that Tony's heart was bleeding at that moment—or rather, he was also a little afraid!
