Successful Escape

Lu Mingyu felt especially helpless right now. There was a superhero beside him, but Tony no longer had his Iron Man Armor. Quicksilver was closing in step by step, and he could feel his heart about to leap out of his chest.

The blade in Quicksilver's hand came flying at him again. Lu Mingyu knew he could not touch it, or his speed would only grow slower and slower. He turned and changed direction. At the same time, blue lightning slowly gathered around him. Like a trail of blue flame, it struck with a bang, sending the unprepared Quicksilver flying.

Blue lightning slithered over Quicksilver's body like little snakes. The shock left Quicksilver temporarily unable to move. Lu Mingyu cried out in surprise. He had no idea what kind of ability this was. He had only seen Flash clutch lightning in his hand and throw it at enemies in American TV shows; he had never seen the lightning on someone's body knock an enemy away.

Lu Mingyu did not waste any time. He returned to Tony's side, grabbed him, and immediately left the alley.

The time had been short, but his speed was incredibly fast. Lu Mingyu had already vanished from Quicksilver's sight. The Black Lantern Ring on Quicksilver's hand gleamed with a cold light, while the rotting flesh beneath his clothes gave off a foul stench. He roared unwillingly, his voice like that of a monster from the highest heavens!

Lu Mingyu dragged Tony by the neck, worried that moving too quickly would dislocate Tony's neck. After all, Quicksilver had carried people like this in the movies, so Lu Mingyu had taken note of it.

He ran at top speed. The lightning on his body did not harm Tony in the slightest, which Lu Mingyu found somewhat unbelievable compared with how it had just sent Quicksilver flying. His task now was to find the Avengers, or rather, Tony's tower. But the problem was that Lu Mingyu did not dare stop, and he did not know the way. He was afraid Quicksilver would search the area with his super speed and find them.

Tony's expression was frozen in the middle of vomiting. Lu Mingyu glanced at him unconsciously and nearly threw up himself. The vomit in Tony's mouth had not even fully come out yet, making Lu Mingyu feel uncomfortable all over.

The scenery around them shifted rapidly, changing from dazzling city streets to a desolate wilderness.

He set Tony down. After making sure Quicksilver would not follow them, he squatted on the ground and panted wildly. This time, he was truly exhausted. Coupled with his fear of death, he could feel his heart about to fly out of his chest.

For some reason, he suddenly hated being Flash.

Tony kept vomiting. Once again realizing that their location had changed, he calmly braced himself against a nearby tree and began throwing up. The sour stench drifted into Lu Mingyu's nose, making him feel sick.

"Stop throwing up already. Look, I haven't even thrown up." Lu Mingyu sat on the ground without looking at Tony, but the sound was really getting on his nerves. On top of being far from home, he felt even more irritable and afraid. He looked up at the starry sky, gazing into the unfathomable universe.

It was not that Tony wanted to keep vomiting. The sudden rapid movement and constant sharp turns had caught him completely off guard. In Tony's mind, everything seemed caught in a vortex, spinning, spinning, spinning... He held onto the tree and said with difficulty, "You might not know what this feels like... Hah... hah..."

Panting heavily, he continued, "Hah, kid, I don't know if you understand, but for an ordinary person, sudden high-speed movement followed by prolonged high-speed movement is really hard to adapt to."

Lu Mingyu suppressed the fear in his heart and calmed himself down. He consoled himself by looking on the bright side. After all, he had superpowers now, and he had met his idol. He said to Tony, "So you can talk normally after all. Wasn't your speaking speed pretty fast earlier?"

Tony did not catch Lu Mingyu's sarcasm and continued, "You have to understand, I was being hunted by a speedster then. I had no armor, no Jarvis. It felt like everything had been stripped away from me. So I had to get you to take me away before Quicksilver arrived. Look at my right leg. I can't even walk properly now."

"Kid, maybe you've never experienced being hunted by a speedster. Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, surviving was already good enough. I really have to thank you this time. Tell me, what school do you go to?"

Listening to Tony, Lu Mingyu could not help thinking, I was being hunted by a speedster too, okay? Even though I'm a speedster now, that guy was way faster than me, okay?

Then Lu Mingyu continued sinking into his own thoughts, completely forgetting that he needed to answer Tony. Tony looked at the silent Lu Mingyu, wiped his mouth with his clothes, and said, "You look Asian. Why are you still a student? Or did you come here to visit relatives?"

Tony saw that Lu Mingyu still did not react, so he smiled awkwardly. "Don't tell me you go to the same school as Spider-Man? If you ask me, you kids shouldn't be worrying about your studies at a time like this. Things are such a mess now. If there's anything you don't understand or can't do, why not just come to me? "Wait, for example, you? You were a top student from childhood, okay? If you're trying to comfort me, don't start with this topic. You should know I was just being hunted too."

Tony fell silent for a moment. "All right, I won't comfort you from that angle. Let's try another."

Lu Mingyu let out a breath. Finally, they were not talking about studying anymore.

"You should know that even top students have times when they're bad students. Like when it comes to relationships..."

"Let's talk about Quicksilver instead. Or the Avengers? How about discussing Captain America's whereabouts?"

"You think I'm not comforting you? Come on, I'm very good at comforting people. Trust me!" Tony's smile bloomed brightly like a flower as he sat beside Lu Mingyu and discussed life with him.

However, Lu Mingyu had a terrible night, because his idol Tony kept talking to him about schoolwork, as well as how much of a "bad student" Tony had been back then.
