The name Blue Tyrant Academy only appeared a few times in the Original Work of Douluo Continent.
Compared to that name, it was actually far better known by another name: Shrek Academy, glorious for tens of thousands of years.
However, Yu Xiaogang was still in Nuoding City nurturing the future Tang—Twin Martial Souls—Sea God—Shura God—Buddha—double-standard dog—at Level 30 I cowered, but as a Titled Douluo I struck hard—revive, my beloved—half-blood humanoid—rabbit-hole enthusiast—pure-hearted college boy—not a single purebred human in the entire family—the God Realm's most frequent law enforcer to interfere with the lower realm—the beast who split his own daughter's soul—early Chastity Lock designer—master dog-walker (son-in-law)—arsonist of hearts—Three.
Meanwhile, Flender was still barely keeping the old Shrek Academy afloat in Suotuo City of the Balak Kingdom through scams and deception.
Blue Tyrant Academy, however, occupied an excellent location within Heaven Dou City's inner city.
Though its grounds were not as vast as those of Heaven Dou Empire Royal Soul Master Academy, they still amounted to one-third of its size.
Even among the advanced academies throughout the Heaven Dou Empire, it could be considered among the best.
"Hello, this is Blue Tyrant Academy. How may I help you?"
The moment the three entered Blue Tyrant Academy's gates, a middle-aged man emerged from the gatehouse and blocked their path.
"We have come to visit your academy's dean," Ye Ling said to the man.
"Visit the dean? Do you have an appointment?"
The middle-aged man looked the three of them up and down, then shook his head.
"Our dean is usually very busy..."
Before he could finish speaking, eight Soul Rings—yellow, yellow, purple, purple, black, black, black, black—rose beneath Xuan Ziwen's feet.
The pressure of a Soul Douluo instantly swept through the entire academy.
"An... Eight-Ring Soul Douluo?"
The middle-aged man nearly bit his tongue.
Before he could say anything else, crimson flames shot skyward from within the academy and, moments later, descended not far in front of Xuan Ziwen.
"May I ask which Soul Douluo has come to my Blue Tyrant Academy, and for what purpose?"
As the flames dispersed, the person who appeared before Ye Ling was a beautiful middle-aged woman who looked to be in her thirties.
She wore a simple black dress, with her hair loosely tied behind her head by a green ribbon.
Her slightly upturned willow-leaf eyebrows added a touch of heroism to her already striking features.
"Liu Erlong?"
Ye Ling looked at the middle-aged beauty before him, a trace of regret appearing in his eyes.
Putting someone like her with Yu Xiaogang truly gave him the feeling of a flower stuck in cow dung.
"Who are you?"
Hearing a child call out her name, Liu Erlong's gaze immediately fell upon him.
At that glance, she was slightly startled. Such a handsome youth was truly the first she had ever seen in her life.
"Ye Ling of Mending Heaven Pavilion greets Dean Liu."
Ye Ling cupped his fists toward Liu Erlong.
Liu Erlong raised her brows slightly and carefully looked Ye Ling over from head to toe once more.
Heaven Dou City was neither particularly large nor particularly small, so rumors from the streets and alleys naturally spread quickly.
Liu Erlong had naturally heard some rumors about Mending Heaven Pavilion, but she could not imagine why they had come to find her.
"May I ask what business the Young Pavilion Master of Mending Heaven Pavilion has with our Blue Tyrant Academy? Don't tell me you wish to enroll here?"
Liu Erlong made a joke, though there was also a hint of probing in her words.
"Does Dean Liu intend to discuss business with me here?"
Ye Ling glanced around. Nearby, several onlookers who did not know what was going on were already secretly watching them.
"My apologies for the discourtesy."
Liu Erlong paused, then gestured for the three of them to follow.
The three followed Liu Erlong into the academy. Along the way, they encountered quite a few students and teachers greeting her.
Both the academy's surroundings and atmosphere left Ye Ling quite satisfied.
After walking along the main road for a while, then following a forest path through a stretch of woods, the three finally arrived with Liu Erlong at a lake in the heart of the forest.
"Dean Liu has refined tastes."
The sight before him made Ye Ling's eyes light up.
"Though I do not often leave the academy, I have heard quite a bit about Mending Heaven Pavilion lately."
Liu Erlong led the three to a pavilion by the lake and had tea served to each of them before continuing.
"I have heard that Mending Heaven Pavilion has Titled Douluo as numerous as clouds. I wonder what business has brought you to my humble Blue Tyrant Academy."
Ye Ling picked up the tea on the table and took a sip. Only after feeling its faint bitterness spread through his mouth did he speak.
"Dean Liu is straightforward, so I will not beat around the bush either."
Ye Ling set down his teacup and spoke each word slowly.
"I want Dean Liu's Blue Tyrant Academy. Name your price."
The moment those words fell, Liu Erlong's expression changed drastically.
She shot to her feet. As seven Soul Rings flashed beneath her feet, the temperature throughout the pavilion quietly began to rise.
"Dean Liu, calm down. Everything can be discussed."
Ignoring the murderous look in Liu Erlong's eyes, Ye Ling lightly tapped the table.
An aura countless times stronger than Liu Erlong's instantly erupted from Jin Peng.
Caught off guard, Liu Erlong let out a muffled groan. Even her martial soul and Soul Rings were forcibly suppressed back into her body.
"A Titled Douluo."
Liu Erlong asked in a low voice.
"Dean Liu, as long as you are willing to transfer Blue Tyrant Academy, you may name any price you wish. We will do our best to meet it."
Ye Ling did not answer Liu Erlong's question, instead continuing to lay out his terms.
"I am a mighty Spirit Saint, backed by the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, one of the Upper Three Sects. Do you think I lack money?"
Liu Erlong sat back down, a trace of mockery appearing on her face.
"Dean Liu has naturally seen plenty of wealth and treasures, so of course you have no need for such things."
Ye Ling suddenly smiled.
"However, I do have something that may be able to resolve a lifelong regret of yours."
"A regret?"
Liu Erlong sneered.
"Young Pavilion Master Ye looks to be only seven or eight years old. Could it be that you even know what my lifelong regret is?"
"Though I am young, I have heard of the past of the Golden Iron Triangle."
Rather than taking offense at the mockery in Liu Erlong's words, Ye Ling continued.
"I heard that Dean Liu's beloved, Yu Xiaogang, known as the Grandmaster, could never break through Level 30 due to a martial soul mutation, and spent his life in gloom because of it."
"And because of the blood relation between you two, this Grandmaster chose to disappear on the day of your wedding."
At this point, Ye Ling felt a wave of disgust in his heart.
Who knew what spell that coward, who had no sense of responsibility and only knew how to run away, had cast on Liu Erlong and Bibi Dong, making two proud daughters of heaven love him to death.
At any rate, Ye Ling had not discovered a single virtue in Yu Xiaogang.
"It seems Mending Heaven Pavilion is not only filled with powerful experts; its intelligence work is also quite thorough."
A flicker of reminiscence and pain flashed through Liu Erlong's eyes, though inwardly she was also astonished that Ye Ling knew such details.
"I possess a pill that can raise a Spirit Master's Innate Soul Power by one level."
"If Dean Liu is willing, I am willing to exchange this pill for Blue Tyrant Academy."
Liu Erlong's pupils suddenly contracted.
I originally planned to write a great battle between Jin Peng and the Sword Bone Douluos, but after looking over the outline, I felt that would not suit Ning Fengzhi's character as a scheming old fox, so I revised the plot.
And after changing it, it actually seemed to fit the characters better.
I could have used those three or four chapters of fighting to pad the word count, but that would have been irresponsible to the readers.
I hope this book will not be a mindlessly gratifying novel in the purest sense. The characters' actions and dialogue should, at the very least, conform to the logic of reality or the Original Work.
Of course, that may mean readers get a little less thrill from it, but there is no helping that. In the end, it is a matter of trade-offs.
The next Master Summoning Card will summon an outstanding educator from Douluo Continent. Everyone can try to guess who it is.
