Background / History

Ning Fengzhi first encounters Ye Ling through the Level Five Destroyer Hand Cannon. Realizing that the weapon can kill Spirit Masters below the seventh ring—and may allow support-type Soul Masters to defend themselves—he immediately seeks to purchase it in bulk and attempts to recruit Ye Ling into the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect 19.

After Ye Ling declines his invitation, Ning concludes that the sect must cooperate with the newly revealed Mending Heaven Pavilion. He considers Soul Tools vital to his sect, while also fearing the consequences if Spirit Hall gains control of the technology 20. His early attempts to gain leverage over Mending Heaven Pavilion repeatedly fail because of its Titled Douluo-level backing 20 44.

As Mending Heaven Pavilion's strength becomes increasingly visible, Ning Fengzhi shifts from cautious engagement to survival-focused pragmatism.
