A closer look revealed that four sharks in the sea were tethered to the bow, swimming rapidly ahead.
Though the boat was fast, the rolling sea made for a terribly bumpy ride.
The people aboard had to use chakra to stick their feet to the deck so they would not be thrown overboard.
"Tap!" Another violent lurch nearly sent Kakuzu flying when he lost his footing.
He grabbed the side of the boat and grumbled unhappily, "We should've had Deidara take us."
"His flying dragon would've been much more comfortable."
No matter how fast they were in the water, they could not compare to flying through the sky.
Jūzō Biwa turned and sized Kakuzu up with a smile in his eyes. "Don't tell me you're seasick?"
Suppressing his nausea, Kakuzu snorted.
"I was making my living in the water before you were even born."
"Tch, old monster." Jūzō Biwa mocked him, but he did not argue further.
After all, Kakuzu really had lived long enough to be practically his grandfather's generation.
In the corner, Shisui and Itachi sat steadily with their eyes closed, resting.
Zetsu had not traveled with them.
More precisely, none of them knew whether Zetsu would come at all.
Zetsu had always been in charge of intelligence, and none of them had ever seen him take to a frontal battlefield.
Konan and Pain had not traveled with them either, choosing to go separately.
