"Shisui, you and Itachi share the same flaw, you know?" Uchiha Yato's voice suddenly rang through the air, carrying a faint hint of helplessness.
When Uchiha Yato started bringing up problems again, neither Uchiha Shisui nor Itachi Uchiha reacted too strongly.
They exchanged a glance and saw the same resolve in each other's eyes.
For Itachi Uchiha and Uchiha Shisui, as long as they could truly integrate the Uchiha Clan into Konoha, they were willing to do anything. That goal had always been their pursuit and the firmest conviction deep in their hearts.
"You regard Konoha as too sacred, and you take the Third Hokage's words too seriously." Uchiha Yato continued. Though his tone was calm, the deeper meaning behind his words gave one pause.
Uchiha Yato had not originally intended to bring up this matter today. After all, Itachi Uchiha and Uchiha Shisui still knew too little about him, and he feared his words would lead them to misunderstand him.
Yet they had walked right into the line of fire themselves, leaving Uchiha Yato somewhat helpless. Since that was the case, he no longer hesitated and decided to straighten out their thinking.
Without giving the two a chance to retort, Uchiha Yato continued explaining.
"Everyone is human, and everyone makes mistakes. Why do you think everything the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, says is right?"
"Forget about distant matters. Let's talk about something recent."
"Shimura Danzō has already begun persecuting Uchiha Shisui, yet I haven't seen the higher-ups make a single move."
At this point, both Uchiha Shisui and Itachi Uchiha wanted to argue that it was Shimura Danzō's personal action and had nothing to do with Hiruzen Sarutobi.
"If he doesn't know about Shimura Danzō's actions, then his oversight has been inadequate, allowing his subordinate to exploit a loophole."
