(I looked into it more carefully afterward: the Divine Dogs are a beginner's perk of the Ten Shadows Technique and don't need to be tamed. This is my own take on it.)
Uchiha Shaoyu stood in the courtyard, the moonlight stretching his shadow long. His scarlet Mangekyō Sharingan looked all the more uncanny in the night.
Even now, it still didn't feel quite real.
He had actually awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan?
He drew his gaze back from the night sky and looked down at his palm. The thrill of awakening the Mangekyō had yet to fade, and his mind was full of curiosity about what these eyes could do.
Every Mangekyō Sharingan had unique abilities. He needed to figure out what his could do as soon as possible.
The dōjutsu in his left eye was the Ten Shadows Technique, and the one in his right was the Six Eyes.

Why did that sound so familiar?
Weren't those Satoru Gojo's and Megumi Fushiguro's abilities?
Uchiha Shaoyu examined the two dōjutsu closely.
They were quite different from the dōjutsu of other Uchiha in Naruto.
In fact, they seemed more like Cursed Techniques from Jujutsu Kaisen.
The other Uchiha's dōjutsu were either like Sasuke's Amaterasu, Itachi's Tsukuyomi, or Shisui's Kotoamatsukami.
Each was a single, standalone ability.
But Uchiha Shaoyu's dōjutsu were different.
Both the Ten Shadows Technique and the Six Eyes were complex sets of abilities.
The Ten Shadows Technique could summon ten Shikigami. The Six Eyes granted all-around, unrestricted vision, as well as the ability to analyze chakra and Cursed Techniques and control Cursed Energy with extreme precision. They supported advanced applications such as the lapse technique, "Blue," and the reversal technique, "Red," as well as the Limitless technique.
More importantly, neither of these dōjutsu would use up too much of Uchiha Shaoyu's ocular power, leaving him nearly blind like Itachi and Sasuke in the original story.
Only using Susanoo would cause his ocular power to diminish.
But whether it was the Six Eyes or the Ten Shadows Technique, mastering them would take time. Uchiha Shaoyu still hadn't gotten the hang of either.
He'd need to train and gradually adjust to the Six Eyes. As for the Ten Shadows Technique, he'd need to tame each Shikigami one by one.

The Divine Dogs?
Two dogs, one black and one white, with keen senses of smell. They could track and devour curses. After the white dog was destroyed, the black dog inherited its power and evolved into Divine Dog: Totality.
That would be fine. If it was the Divine Dogs, Uchiha Shaoyu wouldn't need to find an especially secluded place. He wouldn't make too much of a commotion dealing with them.
Well... might as well give it a try.
Uchiha Shaoyu formed Hand Seals with flowing ease. As his violet eyes narrowed, the chakra of the Ten Shadows Technique quietly seeped into the earth beneath his feet. Before he'd even finished the final seal, dark, faintly glowing patterns spread half a zhang through the grass, and two figures burst from the ground.
One white, one black: the Divine Dog Shikigami.
The white dog's coat was short and as snowy as frost, while the black dog's fur gleamed like ink. As soon as they appeared, both arched their backs and bared their teeth. Their crimson fangs glinted coldly, and waves of chakra rippled around them.
