(I studied this carefully afterward; the Divine Dog is a beginner's perk for the Ten Shadows Technique and does not require subjugation. I will treat it as my own creative adaptation here.)
Uchiha Shaoyu stood in the courtyard, the moonlight stretching his shadow into a long, thin line. His scarlet Mangekyo Sharingan appeared increasingly eerie in the night.
Even now, he still felt a sense of unreality.
Was this really the Mangekyo Sharingan?
He withdrew his gaze from the night sky and looked down at his palms. The tremor from unlocking the Mangekyo had yet to subside, and his heart was filled with curiosity and a desire to explore the abilities of these eyes.
Every pair of Mangekyo Sharingan possessed unique abilities; he had to figure out the powers of his own eyes as soon as possible.
His left eye's dojutsu was the Ten Shadows Technique, and his right eye's dojutsu was the Six Eyes.
????????
Why did that sound so familiar?
Weren't these the abilities of Satoru Gojo and Megumi Fushiguro?
Uchiha Shaoyu carefully examined his two dojutsu.
They were quite different from the dojutsu of other Uchiha in the Naruto world.
Instead, they felt more like the cursed techniques from Jujutsu Kaisen.
The dojutsu of other Uchiha were singular abilities, like Sasuke's Amaterasu, Itachi's Tsukuyomi, or Shisui's Kotoamatsukami.
But Uchiha Shaoyu's dojutsu were different.
Whether it was the Ten Shadows Technique or the Six Eyes, each was a set of combined abilities.
The Ten Shadows Technique could summon ten types of shikigami, while the Six Eyes provided omnidirectional vision, analysis of chakra and techniques, ultimate control over cursed energy, support for high-level applications like the neutral "Blue" and reversal "Red," as well as the Limitless technique.
And most importantly, these two dojutsu did not consume too much of Uchiha Shaoyu's ocular power, unlike Itachi and Sasuke in the original story, who were practically going blind.
Only when using Susanoo would his ocular power decline.
However, both the Six Eyes and the Ten Shadows Technique required sufficient time to master; Uchiha Shaoyu was not yet proficient.
The Six Eyes needed to be slowly cultivated and adapted to, while the Ten Shadows Technique required Uchiha Shaoyu to subjugate them one by one.
As for the first shikigami of the Ten Shadows Technique...
The Divine Dog?
Black and white dogs with keen senses, capable of tracking and devouring curses; after the white dog was destroyed, the black dog inherited its power and evolved into Divine Dog: Totality.
This was manageable. If it were the Divine Dog, Uchiha Shaoyu would not need to find a secluded place, as he wouldn't cause too much of a commotion dealing with this.
Then... let's try it.
Uchiha Shaoyu's fingers formed seals like flowing water. As he closed his purple eyes slightly, the chakra of the Ten Shadows Technique quietly seeped into the ground beneath his feet. Without needing to complete the final seal, pale black cursed patterns spread across the grass for half a zhang before two beams of light erupted from the soil.
White on the left, black on the right—it was exactly the Divine Dog shikigami.
The white dog was covered in fur as white as frost, while the black dog was as glossy as ink. As soon as they appeared, they arched their backs and bared their teeth, their scarlet fangs glinting with a cold light as waves of chakra gently surged around their bodies.
