Ye Ting studied under Nicolas Flamel, mourned the Flamels, and returned to Hogwarts as Sirius Black’s escape brought Dementors to the school. After Ministry inspectors mishandled his alchemical items and destroyed a hall, Ye Ting confronted Fudge and the Wizengamot over the Ministry’s actions.

• Ye Ting visited Nicolas and Perenelle Flamel, studied their work for a week, and resolved to seek a way to unite human and Dragon nature rather than pursue immortality through the Philosopher’s Stone.
• Nicolas and Perenelle died, and Ye Ting inherited their books and manuscripts after Dumbledore delivered the eulogy at their funeral.
• The Ministry awarded Ye Ting the Order of Merlin, First Class, then announced Sirius Black’s escape as Dementors were sent to Hogwarts.
• Ye Ting drove Dementors away with his Patronus and trained Hermione, Cho Chang, and Penelope to cast the Patronus Charm against a Dementor.
• Sirius Black broke into Hogwarts and damaged the Fat Lady’s portrait, while Ye Ting continued his research and Hermione discovered that Lupin was a werewolf.
• Dementors invaded a Quidditch match and Harry fainted, so Ye Ting and the other girls drove them away with Patronuses, and the Ministry then summoned Ye Ting to a trial over the injured Dementors.
• At the Ministry, Umbridge’s inspection of Ye Ting’s Silencing Bell and Sun Wheel caused a devastating fire that injured Aurors and destroyed Hall 957.
• Ye Ting fought off the Aurors, turned Dawlish into a toad and sent him into the sewers, then entered the Wizengamot courtroom and accused Fudge of blaming him for the Ministry’s own mishandling of his items.

Ye Ting cleared his name, helped expose Peter Pettigrew and free Sirius Black, then entered the world of Dragon Raja and established Daenerys in Pentos. After leaving her realm for King's Landing, he appeared as the masked knight Thunder Leaf and won the tournament, while Sansa and Arya reconciled.

• Ye Ting showed the Wizengamot his memory of the Ministry attack, won rulings against the Ministry, and secured compensation and punishments for those responsible.
• Ye Ting backed Amelia Susan Bones, while Hogwarts welcomed him back and Hermione stopped using the Time-Turner.
• Cho Chang won Ravenclaw’s matches against Hufflepuff and Slytherin, and Ye Ting promised to train her for the World Cup.
• Ye Ting and Dumbledore used Lupin’s memories and the Marauder’s Map to capture Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew, and the Ministry cleared Sirius’s name.
• Ye Ting helped Hagrid save Buckbeak, stabilized the time gate, and entered the world where Daenerys was about to wed Drogo.
• Ye Ting saved Daenerys from the flames, made her Queen of Dragons, and helped her take control of Pentos and establish the Dragon God Church.
• Ye Ting left Pentos for King's Landing as Daenerys prepared to conquer the Dothraki Sea, while Sansa and Arya reconciled over Joffrey and Lady’s death.
• As Thunder Leaf, Ye Ting defeated Gregor Clegane and won the tournament’s joust, archery, and melee, then accepted Ned Stark’s offer to become a captain in the Hand’s guard.

Ye Ting escaped King's Landing with Sansa and Arya after Eddard was seized, then returned to Hogwarts and helped Hermione become a dueling champion while Cho Chang rose to Quidditch fame. The arc left Ye Ting, Hermione, and Penelope at the Quidditch World Cup campsite as the final approached.

• After Catelyn captured Tyrion, Ye Ting went to the Eyrie, where Lysa executed Tyrion and Tywin redirected his army toward the Vale.
• Eddard discovered that Cersei's children were Jaime's and named Stannis as Robert's heir, but Littlefinger betrayed him after Robert died.
• Ye Ting stopped the Lannister guards, then escaped King's Landing with Sansa and Arya and carried evidence of the royal children's parentage to Pentos.
• Ye Ting returned to Hogwarts, where he helped Penelope, Cho Chang, and Hermione become dragon Animagi, and Cho won a place on Ireland's Quidditch team.
• Hermione advanced through the International Wizarding Dueling Tournament, defeating Shrive Graves and Emil Barebone to win the championship.
• Penelope left home after her parents opposed her plans, and Ye Ting took her in and helped her open an alchemical goods shop in Diagon Alley.
• Cho led Ireland to the Quidditch World Cup final, while Ye Ting, Hermione, and Penelope arrived at the campsite and prepared for the match.

Ye Ting becomes a judge for Hogwarts’s Triwizard Tournament as old connections and new rivals gather at the school. Hermione enters the Goblet and is chosen as Hogwarts’s champion, but the Goblet also names Harry Potter.

• Ye Ting and the Weasleys watched Ireland defeat Bulgaria at the Quidditch World Cup, where Cho Chang caught the Snitch and earned the crowd’s cheers.
• Mallet brought a drunken Cho Chang to Ye Ting after the match, and they spent the night together in his tent.
• When Death Eaters attacked the campsite, Ye Ting transformed into a Dragon, burned many of them, and reunited Gabrielle with Fleur beneath the Dark Mark.
• At Hogwarts, Dumbledore announced the Triwizard Tournament and introduced Moody as the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, and Ye Ting later recognized him as Barty Crouch Jr.
• Beauxbatons and Durmstrang arrived, and Fleur and Gabrielle greeted Ye Ting while Cho and Hermione reacted jealously.
• Ye Ting joined the tournament’s judging panel as students tried to cross the Age Line, and he modified the spell so Maxwell and Stein could not pass.
• Hermione transformed into a Dragon, broke through the Age Line’s physical barrier, and entered her name in the Goblet of Fire.
• The Goblet chose Viktor Krum, Fleur Delacour, Hermione Granger, and then Harry Potter as champions.
