The Ice Empress ruled the Ice Jade Scorpion Tribe in the Far North, where her authority held absolute suppressive force over her clansmen. With her four-hundred-thousand-year heavenly tribulation due in less than a century, she prepared the tribe for the possibility of her death by naming the 110,000-year Ice Jade Scorpion Future as its new chieftain. 30 34

Yao Shi deliberately devastated part of her territory and incapacitated—but did not kill—dozens of Ice Jade Scorpions to draw her out. Angered by the intrusion, she crushed him with killing-intent-laden spiritual pressure, but he escaped into the Glazed Abundance Pure Land. 30 31

After Yao Shi lured her into the Pure Land with a golden thread, he disclosed that he knew of her approaching tribulation. Once she recognized that the space isolated external threats and contained exceptionally dense life energy, she agreed to an alliance: she would protect Yao Shi until he became a god, while he would shelter her during her tribulation and potentially help her reach godhood. 31 32

Soon after leaving her tribe, she learned that Snow Empress was facing her seven-hundred-thousand-year tribulation. Despite the threat posed by a soul engineer ambush force, she fought to protect Snow Empress while Yao Shi rescued and healed her. 35 37 38

Following Snow Empress's successful second attempt at the tribulation, the Ice Empress left the Far North with Yao Shi, Snow Empress, and Little White. They could reside within Yao Shi's Glazed Abundance Pure Land and enter or leave it freely. 42 43

During Yao Shi's subsequent disappearance, Ice Empress remained in the Pure Land alongside Snow Empress, Little White, Han Xiao, and Little Spirit. The group was cut off from outside events and believed Yao Shi had been killed, leaving Ice Empress determined to avenge him when he returned as an avatar. 91 92

The Pure Land's isolation from the Douluo Plane and its inexhaustible energy allowed Ice Empress and Snow Empress to advance beyond a soul beast's natural limits. By Yao Shi's return, both had reached level 100 and become God-level beings. Initially, the Ice Empress is proud, distrustful, and quick to anger when Yao Shi intrudes on her territory and manipulates her into entering his Pure Land. She remains cautious even after learning he can help with her tribulation, explicitly warning that she would perish alongside him if he deceived her. 31 32

Her loyalty to Snow Empress is unwavering. She immediately rushes toward Snow Empress's tribulation, risks confrontation with a powerful human soul engineer squad, and kills the surviving Class 9 soul engineer for attacking Snow Empress. 35 37 38

Although she maintains a cold and blunt demeanor, she becomes openly concerned for Yao Shi after seeing him apparently killed by a soul cannon. His survival leaves her relieved but irritated that he concealed the extent of his life-saving abilities. 38 39
