Background / History

The Ice Empress ruled the Ice Jade Scorpion Tribe in the Far North, where her authority held absolute suppressive force over her clansmen. With her four-hundred-thousand-year heavenly tribulation due in less than a century, she prepared the tribe for the possibility of her death by naming the 110,000-year Ice Jade Scorpion Future as its new chieftain. 30 34

Yao Shi deliberately devastated part of her territory and incapacitated—but did not kill—dozens of Ice Jade Scorpions to draw her out. Angered by the intrusion, she crushed him with killing-intent-laden spiritual pressure, but he escaped into the Glazed Abundance Pure Land. 30 31

After Yao Shi lured her into the Pure Land with a golden thread, he disclosed that he knew of her approaching tribulation. Once she recognized that the space isolated external threats and contained exceptionally dense life energy, she agreed to an alliance: she would protect Yao Shi until he became a god, while he would shelter her during her tribulation and potentially help her reach godhood. 31 32

Soon after leaving her tribe, she learned that Snow Empress was facing her seven-hundred-thousand-year tribulation. Despite the threat posed by a soul engineer ambush force, she fought to protect Snow Empress while Yao Shi rescued and healed her. 35 37 38

Following Snow Empress's successful second attempt at the tribulation, the Ice Empress left the Far North with Yao Shi, Snow Empress, and Little White. They could reside within Yao Shi's Glazed Abundance Pure Land and enter or leave it freely. 42 43

The Ice Empress has a petite humanoid form standing just over one and a half meters tall. Her voice is described as crisp, clear, and cold; despite her imposing identity, she can display an unexpectedly childlike smile around Snow Empress and Yao Shi. 31 32 40

Her loyalty to Snow Empress is unwavering. She immediately rushes toward Snow Empress's tribulation, risks confrontation with a powerful human soul engineer squad, and kills the surviving Class 9 soul engineer for attacking Snow Empress. 35 37 38
