Background / History

Bei Bei encounters Huo Yuhao and Tang Ya while facing a Datura Snake. He orders Tang Ya to protect Yuhao, fights the soul beast with his dragon-claw martial-soul possession, and benefits from Yuhao’s spiritual link during the battle. Afterward, he asks Yuhao about his future and offers to take him toward Shrek City. 1

When Yuhao offers a Golden Apple as payment, Bei Bei recognizes that the fruit resonates with his bloodline. Rather than merely accepting it for travel assistance, he offers to use his special admission slot to bring Yuhao into Shrek Academy, intending to secure him an outer-court place even if the apple proves useless. 1 2

Mu En supervises Bei Bei’s consumption of the Golden Apple. The fruit temporarily draws out the Bright Sacred Dragon bloodline, but the awakening recedes before it can stabilize. Mu En seals the residual power to preserve a future emergency awakening without harming Bei Bei’s potential. 3

At Shrek, Bei Bei remains one of Yuhao’s earliest friends, inviting him to barbecue gatherings by Sea God Lake and introducing him to Xu Sanshi and Jiang Nannan. 6 He later joins Shrek’s reserve team for the Twilight Forest training mission and the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Soul Dueling Tournament. 41 53 61

During the tournament period, Bei Bei helps Yuhao locate a supplier for Mysterious Water Pills by directing him to Xu Sanshi and the Xuanming Sect. 61 He later observes Xu Sanshi’s post-awakening tournament performance and acknowledges his strength despite their usual bickering. 63

Personality

Bei Bei is considerate and principled. Although he strongly wants Yuhao’s Golden Apple, he refuses to exploit a younger boy for it and offers academy admission in exchange. 2

He is protective in danger, immediately prioritizing Tang Ya and Yuhao when the Datura Snake attacks. 1 He is also easily embarrassed by Tang Ya’s open affection, gently pushing her away because Yuhao is watching. 1

With close friends, Bei Bei is blunt and sarcastic—particularly toward Xu Sanshi—but remains dependable. He dismisses Xu’s dramatics, supports practical decisions, and suggests avoiding the White Tiger Duke’s military zone to prevent an inappropriate encounter for Yuhao. 6 41 53
