Background / History

Huo Yuhao first encounters a god-like being in a white void after his mother’s death. His request to resurrect her is refused as impossible, so he instead wishes for the strength to avenge her. The wish is granted, and Xia Liang subsequently appears in his Sea of Spirit as his guardian. Tianmeng Iceworm becomes another presence within that Sea of Spirit, while Xia Liang restores enough life force for Electrolux to awaken. 1

After assisting Bei Bei and Tang Ya against a Datura Snake with his spiritual support skill, Huo Yuhao accepts Bei Bei’s offer to enter Shrek Academy. He trades a strange fruit for Bei Bei’s special admission slot, determined to cultivate and become stronger. 1 2

An Enchanted Golden Apple substantially repairs Huo Yuhao’s frail body and triggers a further awakening of his martial soul. Its effects grant him Gold Particle Mode, a powerful but brief golden transformation. 3

Huo Yuhao later travels with Xia Liang to the Extreme North, where he fuses with the Ice Empress and fully manifests his second martial soul. The experience leads him to view coexistence between humans and soul beasts as a personal mission; he hopes to lay a foundation for reconciliation between the two sides. 17

Huo Yuhao’s Spirit Eyes are azure in his normal state. His appearance changes dramatically when Gold Particle Mode is active. 3

Huo Yuhao is intensely driven by the death of his mother and his hatred of the White Tiger Duke’s Estate. Even so, he restrains himself when facing Dai Huabin, choosing not to kill him immediately because he wants him to witness the estate’s eventual downfall. 13

He is diligent, practical, and willing to pursue unfamiliar paths to improve himself. He studies soul tools, trains physically, cultivates consistently, and fights spiritual bodies in his Sea of Spirit. 4 6 10 He is also capable of generosity: he refuses payment for food shared among friends and gives Xiao Xiao valuable resources in exchange for permission to study her martial soul. 6 15

Huo Yuhao’s primary martial soul is a body martial soul centered on his eyes. Its first soul skill originated from a mutated Wind Baboon and specializes in spiritual perception and support. 10 11
