Background

Shui Bing'er is Shui Qinghan's elder daughter and Shui Yue'er's older sister. She was introduced at Tianshui Academy as a seven-and-a-half-year-old Rank 15 Soul Master with innate Rank 9 soul power. Her aunt, Shui Qingrou, helped teach her and Yue'er before Jiang Lan joined their household as their junior brother. 11

Following Jiang Lan's arrival, Shui Qinghan placed the three children on an intensive schedule of study, combat practice, physical conditioning, medicinal baths, and nourishing meals. Jiang Lan's Sea of Tides domain allowed Bing'er to recover from training without lingering injuries, while repeated use of whale glue strengthened her body and increased the age of soul ring she could endure. 14 15 21 22

After reaching Rank 20, Bing'er accompanied Shui Qinghan and Jiang Lan to the Far North. She cultivated in the Ten-Thousand-Year Ice Marrow Cave, whose dense ice energy could strengthen both her soul power and martial-soul origin. Personality

Bing'er is notably responsible and mature for her age. She takes charge when other Tianshui students crowd around Jiang Lan, dispersing them and guiding him through the academy. 11 20

She is competitive but composed. Though initially determined to defeat Jiang Lan despite his unusual thousand-year first ring, she remains calm under provocation in her first Arena match and refuses to be baited by Zhang Han's taunts. 12 32

In battle, Bing'er is rational and tactical, preferring to control opponents while Jiang Lan protects her. She also displays compassion, thawing Zhang Han after defeating him rather than leaving him frozen. 32 34

Although proud of her rapid progress and eager for her mother's praise, Bing'er does not flaunt her strength recklessly. She concealed her actual Rank 27 cultivation when facing Shen Yan in the Grand Soul Arena, publicly claiming to be Rank 25 instead. 44 53

She later joins Jiang Lan and Yue'er in a training battle against Shui Qinghan, where her repeated Ice Seals help force Qinghan to use power beyond the Soul Elder level. 12 13 14

Whale Glue Training

Bing'er benefits from the household's whale-glue regimen, reaching Rank 16½ after her first high-quality piece. Continued use of whale glue raises her second-ring endurance beyond 1,700 years, then to roughly 3,000 years after refining Ten-Thousand-Year Whale Glue. 18 21 22

Far North Expedition

She travels with Shui Qinghan and Jiang Lan to Dragon City and the Far North Mountains in search of cultivation resources. Bing'er meditates in the cold spring and later in the Ten-Thousand-Year Ice Marrow Cave, where the environment is especially suited to strengthening her ice attribute. 23 25 26

Second Soul Ring

Shui Qinghan helps Bing'er hunt and defeat an Ice Spirit Sparrow slightly over three thousand years old. Bing'er successfully absorbs its ring despite severe initial strain, obtaining Ice Phoenix Staff and advancing three levels from the ring itself. 30

Grand Soul Arena

Using the masked alias Ice Phoenix, Bing'er begins Arena combat in Dragon City. She defeats Zhang Han in her first one-on-one match by controlling him with Ice Seal, then teams with Jiang Lan in two-on-two matches as the offensive controller while he guards her. 31 32 34 35

After continued Arena training, Bing'er and Jiang Lan achieve fifteen consecutive two-on-two victories, while Bing'er reaches a sixteen-win, zero-loss one-on-one record. At Rank 27, she defeats the Rank 29 fire-attributed Soul Master Shen Yan by using Ice Phoenix Staff to turn the apparent fire-versus-ice disadvantage into elemental suppression. 51 53 54

Ice Marrow Cave Cultivation

After Shui Qinghan and Shui Qingrou depart on other business, Bing'er remains in the Ten-Thousand-Year Ice Marrow Cave with Jiang Lan and Yue'er for extended cultivation. She recognizes the cave as a rare opportunity to improve the origin and coldness of their ice-attributed Martial Souls. 38 40

The extended cultivation period raises Bing'er to Rank 27 and brings her ice attribute close to Ultimate Ice. After Shui Qinghan retrieves the cave's Ten-Thousand-Year Ice Marrow and Ice-Extreme Divine Crystals, Bing'er leaves Dragon City with the group and returns home. 44 53 64 65

Skywater Team Formation

Upon returning to Tianshui Academy, Bing'er is named the Skywater Team's core and subsequently appointed its captain and commander, with Jiang Lan serving as vice-captain. Alongside Yue'er, she faces Yu Hairou, Shen Liuyu, Gu Qingbo, and Qiu Ruoshui in a two-against-four assessment battle. 67 69

Bing'er immediately controls Qiu Ruoshui and Gu Qingbo with consecutive Ice Seals, then works with Yue'er to defeat the remaining opponents. Their victory demonstrates both the strength of Bing'er's thousand-year second ring and the sisters' refined battlefield coordination. 70

Blazing Fire Academy Exchange

During an exchange with Blazing Fire Academy, Bing'er steps forward to answer Huo Wu's challenge rather than let Jiang Lan fight. As a Rank 28 Control System Grand Soul Master, she uses Ice Phoenix Staff, defensive ice walls, and Ice Seal to neutralize Huo Wu's Soul Ring Fusion-enhanced flames and secure victory. 83 84

The fight confirms that Ice Phoenix Staff has elevated Bing'er's ice close enough to Ultimate Ice to suppress ordinary fire attributes. She releases Huo Wu after Huo Yan concedes and explains the elemental disparity without gloating. 84

Bing'er then defeats Huo Wushuang almost immediately with Ice Seal and proceeds to win against five Blazing Fire Academy members. Rather than defeat every opponent and humiliate the host academy, she cites depleted soul power and voluntarily concedes. 85

Date in Blazing Fire City

During the Blazing Fire City bonfire festivities, Bing'er and Jiang Lan spend time alone together, walking hand in hand, sharing shaved ice, and visiting a jewelry stall. Jiang Lan gives her an ice-blue lotus hairpin, which she allows him to place in her hair. 90

Plant Academy Exchange

Bing'er confronts Plant Academy's battle team during another academy exchange. Her near-Ultimate Ice easily overcomes Mu Yunman's Azure Vine and Yao Zi's fire-resistant Red Flame Thorns; she defeats Yao Zi and two further Plant Academy students before voluntarily conceding to preserve the exchange's balance. 100

Third Soul Ring
