Background / History

Ye Ming transmigrated to Douluo Continent and spent over ten thousand years incubating inside an egg at the Lake of Life. He hatched as one of two Emperor Beasts of Auspiciousness born through the fate of the Star Dou Great Forest, alongside the Three-Eyed Golden Lion. His awakening manifested the Golden Dragon King and Silver Dragon King martial souls, triggering a phenomenon of golden and silver dragons that drew the great ferocious beasts to the lake. 1

During that awakening, two dragon spears entered his sea of spirit and an unknown voice instructed him to reach Dragon Valley before obtaining seven soul rings. Di Tian recognized the Dragon God's aura within Ye Ming, while Gu Yuena awakened from the Lake of Life and identified him as the Dragon God's chosen hope for the soul beast race. 1 2

Gu Yuena arranged for Ye Ming to acquire dragon-type soul rings and persuaded Tianmeng Ice Silkworm to undergo a soul sacrifice for his Silver Dragon King martial soul. Ye Ming then discovered that, as an Emperor Auspicious Beast, he could produce soul rings suited to himself rather than depend on hunted soul beasts. 2 3 4
