The scene unfolded before his eyes. Dumbledore sat behind his desk, his long silvery-white beard hanging to his chest.
This time, Wade carefully examined the memory he had woven himself from the perspective of an observer.
The half-minute conversation quickly ended. Wade felt as though someone had shoved him in the chest; his body tilted backward, and he involuntarily withdrew from Snape's memory.
The Potions Professor remained reclined against the back of his chair, his black eyes watching Wade calmly.
Silence stretched between them for several seconds.
Wade closed his eyes and reviewed everything he had just seen.
"What did you find?" Snape asked.
"The portraits on the wall... were somewhat blurry." Wade slowly said, "Armando Dippet should have been behind Dumbledore, but it became Phineas Black."
Among the portraits, that Slytherin Headmaster liked to abruptly interject with a few words, so Wade was more familiar with him and had unconsciously used his likeness.
Snape raised his chin slightly. "What else?"
"And Fawkes." Wade sighed. "I got its appearance wrong."
The "Fawkes" in that memory was smaller than the original, and unlike Phoenix's brilliantly gleaming golden-red feathers, its plumage resembled flowing flames.
That was not Fawkes. It was Wade's Firebird, Mihail.
Snape nodded. He had noticed that detail at first glance.
"And..."
Wade paused, then said, "We were wearing winter clothes, but the scenery outside the window was from summer... Sorry, I was probably too focused on the relationship between light and shadow just now, and ended up making such a basic mistake."
He was finished.
The office fell quiet for a moment before Snape spoke again.
