In the stands, Lucius Malfoy's brand-new Silver Snake Cane fell to the ground. All color drained from the face that had always remained proud and cold, his eyes fixed on the man's figure on the screen.
Narcissa's slender fingers suddenly clenched the armrest, her carefully manicured nails leaving deep scratches in the expensive wood.
Draco, seated beside them, reacted most directly. Like a startled little animal, his grey eyes widened in terror, and a fine sheen of cold sweat appeared on his forehead.
When he saw the young Harry Potter bound beside the resurrected Voldemort, his throat bobbed visibly, and his face turned as pale as paper.
Amid the screams and flight of the audience, this family's reaction did not seem particularly conspicuous. Compared to the others, they could even be considered calm.
Lucius bent down and slowly picked up his cane. As he straightened, he quickly swept his gaze over the people around them and said in a low voice, "Remember what we discussed, Draco."
"But Dad..." Draco cried out urgently, as though the pain from when his father had once disappeared was rising from the depths of his heart again.
Narcissa pulled her son closer and covered his eyes with her cold fingers. In a gentle voice, she said, "No matter what happens, our family will always be together."
She looked at her husband, silent understanding passing through her eyes.
"I'm fine, Mum." Draco pulled his mother's hand down and said in a trembling voice, "I... I want to watch."
Lucius took his wife's hand and said quietly, "No matter what, I'll protect you both."
Narcissa pressed her lips together and nodded slightly, her eyes revealing worries she could not put into words.
Beside him, Lucius Malfoy looked forward. Whether by coincidence or not, Dumbledore's gaze happened
