Background / History

Original life

The original Li Ziming was a commoner genius from Skysea City. His father had been a fourth-rank forging master, and Li Ziming followed that profession after both parents died in an accident when he was nine. He lived alone for six years using their inheritance, eventually reaching level 32 as a three-ring Soul Elder while developing his forging skills. 3

After Li Ziming's death, Liu Tianran selected him as the template for his first clone. Liu Tianran used the original's memories and physical remnants, along with a drop of Mu Chen's blood and accumulated energy, to create a replacement with enhanced aptitude, knowledge, vitality, and cultivation. 3 4

Rise within the Forging Masters Association

To establish himself away from the original Li Ziming's social circle, the clone traveled to Eastsea City after the original body had been cremated and buried. He took the third- and fourth-rank forging assessments consecutively, immediately attracting the attention of the East Sea Blacksmith Association. 4

Mu Chen personally inspected Li Ziming's work and accepted him as a disciple. Mu Chen provided a residence, cultivation guidance, access to an intermediate Ascension Platform, and the protection of his name and position as an 86th-rank Soul Douluo and eight-star Saint Craftsman. 5

Over the next six years, Li Ziming rose into the association's youngest Seven-Star Saint Craftsman. His unprecedented growth made him a target of multiple factions, prompting Mu Chen to send him to Heaven Dou City for advanced instruction under Zhenhua and for his own safety. 7 11

Assassination attempt and recognition

While traveling to Heaven Dou City with Elder Ye, Li Ziming sensed an ambush before it fully unfolded. Upon arrival, he detected a second lethal threat from Soul-Eater Douluo, activated his battle armor and defensive Soul Tools, and warned Elder Ye in time to prevent the attack from killing him. 11 12

The attack confirmed that Li Ziming's forging potential had become politically significant. Zhenhua treated the attempted assassination as evidence that hostile forces had planned against him for some time and began considering a purge of leaks within the association. 13

At the Skysea Grand Tournament, Li Ziming publicly demonstrated soul forging and became an eight-star Saint Craftsman. His achievement drew recruitment efforts from the Spirit Pagoda, Shrek Academy, War God Hall, and other major powers, while Zhenhua worried that the resulting attention could obstruct his path toward Divine Craftsman. 21 22

Personality

Li Ziming is calculating and deliberately image-conscious. After his creation, he imitated the original Li Ziming's aloof manner while using his assessments to gain the Forging Masters Association's support as quickly as possible. 4

He remains composed under immediate danger, responding to the Heaven Dou City assassination with warning, armor activation, defensive Soul Tools, and a counterattack rather than panic. 12 He is also wary of political recruitment, recognizing that the factions pursuing him after his eight-star breakthrough were pursuing their own interests rather than offering uncomplicated goodwill. 23

Despite his public status, he is informal with trusted associates such as Zuo Qiu Lun and Mu Ye. 19 23
