Makarov's son Ivan, who had been kicked out of Fairy Tail, came to see Jose.
Ivan said the Dark Guild under his command, Raven Tail, would do everything it could to help Phantom Lord crush Fairy Tail. He also guaranteed that Laxus would not take part in the battle.
Jose didn't think much of Ivan's strength, but he wasn't about to turn down free help. More importantly, Ivan could give him intelligence on Fairy Tail.
According to Ivan, Fairy Tail currently had six S-Class wizards. Ranked by strength, they were Gildarts, Laxus, Aibo,
Erza, Mira, and Mistgun.
Gildarts, Fairy Tail's strongest S-Class wizard, was away. Laxus, the second strongest, would also leave with the Thunder God Tribe and stay
