Background and History

Mira grew up with her younger siblings, Elfman and Lisanna, after their parents died. When a demon attacked the village church, her Take Over Magic awakened and absorbed the creature. The villagers mistook her uncontrolled demonic arm for a curse and subjected the siblings to fear and discrimination. 36 37

Aibo identified her condition as an innate magical awakening rather than possession. He used a light-and-shadow illusion to conceal her arm, reassured her that power was neither inherently good nor evil, and invited the Strauss siblings to Fairy Tail. 37

After settling in Magnolia, Mira relied on Aibo to maintain the illusion over her arm while she learned to control Take Over Magic. Her newfound strength initially made her arrogant and confrontational: she fought Natsu, challenged Erza, and defied Makarov before being forcibly removed from the guild. Aibo persuaded her to apologize, treat Fairy Tail as family, and train responsibly; by the end of the day, she had fully mastered her magic. 40

Mira later became one of Aibo’s primary Enchant Magic test subjects. She endured elemental enchantments, high-speed movement tests, and body-tempering experiments, competing with Erza to prove herself as Aibo’s closest “big sister.” 42 43 44

As an S-Class mage, Mira led Elfman and Lisanna on a mission to obtain the Beast King for Elfman. The mission collapsed when Lisanna vanished in a spatial tornado and Elfman lost control of the Beast King, attacking Mira. Unable to protect either sibling alone, Mira activated Aibo’s mark for help. 84 85

After Aibo subsequently disappeared while pursuing Lisanna, Mira’s behavior changed sharply. She abandoned her delinquent-style clothing, became withdrawn and ruthless on missions, and frightened guild customers with cold, lifeless service while covering Aibo’s former work. 91
