At the forefront stood some of the greatest mighty figures in the Primordial World aside from the Dao Ancestor: the Three Pure Ones, Dijun and Taiyi, Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun, Minghe, and Kunpeng.

Bai Jing did not stand too far forward. Instead, he stood amid the other mighty figures. He had not come to seize spiritual treasures or spiritual roots, but merely to gather immortal materials and ores. There were only a handful of people in the Primordial World capable of refining artifacts, so probably no one would compete with him for immortal materials and ores. This spot was just right.

"Did he obtain some great opportunity? Why does the spiritual energy around him flood madly into his body the moment he stands there?" Tongtian asked in surprise.

Yuanshi had the same question. This was why he had noticed Bai Jing in the first place.

As the only one among the three who had severed his good corpse and broken through to the quasi-saint realm, Laozi's insight far surpassed that of his two younger brothers. He shook his head. "He did not obtain some great opportunity. Rather, he chose the path of proving the Dao through strength. More than likely, he intends to prove the Dao through the Great Dao of Devouring."

"The Great Dao of Devouring? But didn't he transform from the World-Purifying White Lotus? Even if he intended to prove the Dao through strength, shouldn't it be through the Great Dao of Purification?" Yuanshi Tianzun said.

This time, Laozi said nothing more, because even he could not see through why Bai Jing had chosen the Great Dao of Devouring.

No one knew what primordial exotic species this giant crab was. Its two claws alone appeared to be a hundred meters long, while its body was like an ancient divine mountain. Jagged bone spines protruded from its back, making it utterly terrifying.

The giant crab let out a skyward roar. Without using any divine abilities, it raised its enormous claws and snapped them toward the grand formation!

Some aquatic experts who knew of the giant crab had even raised their auras, preparing to follow him inside.

The aquatic beings who had been preparing to rush in after him instantly broke out in cold sweat.

"These claws have been tempered by this crab for countless years. They were indestructible and would have made fine materials for artifact refinement. It is rather unfortunate that they were destroyed like this," Yuanshi Tianzun lamented.

Bai Jing also found it regrettable. The moment he saw the giant crab reveal its true form, Bai Jing had set his sights on its claws. With claws that large, the meat inside must have been delicious.

Unfortunately, this crab was brainless. It had actually attacked the grand formation of Penglai Immortal Island like this. Wasn't that simply courting death?

As someone who possessed an immortal island himself, Bai Jing was exceptionally familiar with innate restrictions. If he had not transformed from the World-Purifying White Lotus on Yingzhou Immortal Island, even a Great Luo would never have been able to break the formation.
