Background and History

Creation and Early Nature

Great God Pangu created the Primordial World after battling the Three Thousand Chaos Demon Gods and exhausting himself to open heaven and earth. Bai Jing witnessed this creation shortly after arriving in the world. 1 294

The Primordial World is an exceptionally unusual origin world. The fallen Chaos Demon Gods became its nourishment, leaving it with the foundations of all Three Thousand Great Daos and the potential to become a Chaos True Realm. 294

Before the first self-evolved life appeared, the world spent one hundred thousand epochs nurturing living beings. Its earliest eras measured time in epochs, while later eras increasingly measured time in shorter spans as the Human Clan rose. 223

Formation of the Realms

During the Witch-Demon conflict, the phantom of Pangu used the Opening-Heaven Divine Axe to establish the Demon Realm and separate the Earth Realm from the Heavenly Dao's direct order. Jianmu was released to support the newly independent Earth Realm. 120 121

Houtu later established the Underworld and the Six Paths of Reincarnation, perfecting the Earth Dao. Reincarnation made death a rebirth rather than a final end, while making immortality and a lifespan equal to heaven and earth more difficult to attain. 114 123

The revival of the Human Dao and the opening of the Mortal Realm further reduced the Heavenly Dao's control over the world. Bai Jing's avatar subsequently opened a chaotic space within the Primordial World, allowing Hongyun and Zhenyuanzi to establish the Earth Immortal Realm. 221 223

Dimensional Ascensions

The Heavenly Dao shattered the Chaos Pearl after failing to rule the Primordial World alone. The world consumed the pearl's origin and completed its first dimensional ascension, becoming broader, richer in spiritual qi, and easier for living beings to traverse. 228

This ascension also elevated the Primordial World above the Dao of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity. The Three Daos remained administrators, but the world itself became the superior authority within its boundaries. 228

After the Six Realms were completed, the world underwent another dimensional ascension. Its spiritual qi rose close to Chaos Qi, new mountains and blessed lands appeared, and innate Numinous Treasures and spiritual roots began to form within newly born restrictions. 352 356

Following Zhen's defeat, the Primordial World completed its third ascension and became a chaos world. 409

Realms and Structure

Laws and Governance

• The Primordial World's foundational order includes the Dao of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity. After the Heavenly Dao was reforged, Nuwa and Houtu relinquished their control over the Human Dao and Earth Dao so that the Three Daos could restrain one another without personal interference. 352
• The world recognizes and rewards actions that benefit it, including the creation of Great Daos and contributions to its development. 228
• Its earth veins circulate baleful qi from belowground and innate spiritual qi aboveground; this circulation purifies baleful qi into spiritual qi that nourishes life. 54
• The completion of the Six Paths of Reincarnation strengthened the Earth Dao, stabilized space, clarified spiritual essence, and improved heaven and earth throughout the world. 123
• After its first ascension, the world initially suppressed most Saints and Hunyuan Golden Immortals within its boundaries, exempting the Three Pure Ones and Bai Jing. 228
• Following its later ascension, it ceased rejecting Mixed Yuan Great Luo Golden Immortals, allowing more cultivators to attain the Dao without relying on merit from opening heaven. 356

Notable Phenomena

• Pangu's Return Resonance — When the Twelve Ancestral Witches condensed Pangu's phantom through the Twelve Capitals Divine Fiend Formation, heaven, earth, and even the world's deeper laws trembled in welcome rather than fear. 82
• Reincarnation — The Underworld's Wangchuan River, Ghost Gate Pass, Naihe Bridge, Homeward Lookout, and eighteen layers of hell form the order by which souls pass into rebirth. 123
• Realm Passages — After the first ascension, Order Chains formed passages linking the central world with the Demon, Earth, Earth Immortal, and Mortal Realms. 228
• Innate Numinous Treasure Nurturing — Following the opening of the Six Realms, the world began naturally nurturing spiritual roots and Numinous Treasures within newly formed innate restrictions. 352

Major Crises

• Witch-Demon Calamity — The clash between the Witch and Demon Clans led to Pangu's phantom reappearing, the creation of new realms, Mount Buzhou's collapse, and a severe disruption of the world's innate spiritual qi. 120 121
• Heavenly Dao's Seizure of Control — Heavenly Dao Hongjun repeatedly attempted to centralize authority over the world, including sealing rival realms and suppressing Saints from those realms. 228 344
• Zhen's Invasion — Zhen approached from chaos carrying the World-Ending Millstone and sought to destroy the Primordial World. Bai Jing and the Saints defended the world's membrane until Zhen was ultimately defeated. 382 409
