Background

Bai Jing spent his early existence on concealed Yingzhou Island, where he deliberately hastened his transformation to avoid the fate of being refined into a spiritual treasure. By the time of Zixiao Palace's first sermon, he had taken human form as a young Daoist and already stood at the peak of Taiyi Golden Immortal. 1 2

His original body was the Twelfth-Grade Pure World White Lotus, a being of the Chaos Green Lotus lineage. This connection gave him resonance with treasures formed from the Twenty-Fourth-Grade Creation Green Lotus, including the spiritual treasures held by the Three Pure Ones. 7

Bai Jing made repairing his incomplete origin the foundation of his path. He chose to cultivate the Dao of Devouring through his physical body, then use treasures of the Chaos Green Lotus lineage and the Dao of Purification to restore and evolve his true form. 9 27 96

He can also be ruthless when his path or followers are threatened. Shortly after taking form, he erased the consciousness of a nine-rank white lotus; later, he repeatedly defeated or killed Zhunti after the latter endangered Bai Jing's disciples and allies. 2 116 213 304
