This was a plane filled with shallows and deep seas. The entire world was covered in corals of all sizes, reefs, small islands, shallows, and deep waters. It did not possess the vast continents and mountain ranges found in other planes.
This plane was rich in water-element magic power. Even its corals possessed excellent water-element conductivity. The depths of the sea held special deep-sea mineral deposits, while the centers of certain small islands contained magical springs capable of restoring mental power, vitality, and magic power.
As the native inhabitants of this plane, the merfolk had always worshipped the great Sea Giant as their god.
Merfolk civilians, Merfolk Hunters, Merfolk Warriors, merfolk priests, Merfolk Great Warriors, merfolk kings, and the Sea Giant—this was their social hierarchy and power system.
Starting from Merfolk Hunters, the merfolk could make simple use of water elements, such as imbuing them into weapons or applying them to themselves to enhance physical fitness, reflexes, and attack power.
The mysterious merfolk priests claimed to possess the Sea Giant's power. Through a type of enhancement aura, they could make all merfolk stronger, more frenzied, and more energetic.
Had things continued this way, the merfolk might have grown ever stronger or gradually declined under the guidance of their god, the Sea Giant. Endless possibilities lay ahead of them. But today, when an incomparably magnificent city suddenly floated above this plane, from merfolk civilians to the Sea Giant, all understood that a great number of uninvited guests had arrived in their world.
"Awooo! Awooo! Awooo! Awooo!"
In the deepest part of the sea, a colossal being awakened from its slumber. It possessed an immense and majestic frame, an azure-blue body, gill-like structures on either side of its face, armor plates resembling fish scales across its body, and a gigantic trident in its hand. The entire world conveyed a single message to it.
The invaders had arrived.
As the only Level 3 creature in the entire plane, a powerhouse who could even be regarded as a god in some planes, the Sea Giant immediately sensed that the entire plane had fallen into a state of crisis after awakening. A gigantic city had suddenly appeared in the skies above the plane.
Sensing that the other side possessed a powerful existence no weaker than himself, the Sea Giant tightened his grip on his enormous golden trident. With heavy strides, his huge body merged into the water and sped toward the Floating City at an unimaginable pace.
As the strongest being in this plane, and the one worshipped by the merfolk, the Sea Giant vaguely remembered what this plane had been like in the beginning—the warm scenes of those adorable little merfolk bustling around him.
Back then, he had not yet slumbered in the deep sea. What he enjoyed most each day was watching those merfolk rely on their wisdom and intellect to wield the power of water and build their own civilization.
He felt that they had accomplished it under his guidance and protection, bringing him an unprecedented sense of achievement and joy.
This picturesque scene could not be shattered by the arrival of these invaders. This world could not be plunged into war because of them!
Invaders! They could not be spared!
The Sea Giant, who had already turned into a mass of azure-blue seawater racing through the ocean, kept his gaze calm and steady. As the first and only Level 3 creature of this plane, he had a duty to protect everything within it!
"Is this a brand-new plane? The water elements are so active..."
Taylor instantly sensed the difference in the surrounding environment from within the tower. The overly dense water elements made him, a Wizard apprentice proficient in fire-element sorcery, especially uncomfortable.
The magic power required for him to cast a fireball was now 1.25 times the usual amount, and even its power was difficult to guarantee.
This damned place was simply a nightmare for him!
After completing its spatial traversal, the Floating City had arrived in a brand-new world. Looking out from the tower, Taylor discovered that the entire world was blue, though some areas were darker and others lighter.
What entered his sight was a boundless sea, scattered reefs, and several small islands dotting the distance.
Looking at the picturesque scene, Taylor's mood improved despite his earlier frustration with the overly active water elements of this plane.
"This plane has pretty good scenery!"
"It'd be perfect for retirement and slacking off. It would be even better with a pot of hot tea beside me."
Bobby's voice rang out in Taylor's mind. As the embodiment of Taylor's laziness, idleness, and certain unnecessary sympathies, Bobby truly hoped to live a life of slacking off, drinking tea, and sitting in a rocking chair.
The moment Bobby finished speaking, Kano's voice rang out in Taylor's mind.
"Perhaps what we should be considering now is how many mineral resources, knowledge resources, and biological resources this plane has that we can make use of."
Hearing Kano's words, Taylor nodded in understanding. That was indeed right. He had not come here to sightsee or enjoy the breeze, and the Wizards had not come here to admire the scenery either. They had come for the knowledge and resources here.
Raising his hand, Taylor released a Magic Mech from his storage ring. It was as tall as a person and wore a red robe. He drew upon the mental power within his mental space, along with the emotional-mental composite representing Kano himself, and used the mental separation technique he had learned earlier to place that mass of mental power into a transparent crystal at the very center of the Magic Mech's head.
The transparent crystal at the center of the Magic Mech's head was the largest transparent crystal Taylor had acquired in the Zombie Plane.
To operate a Magic Mech perfectly, one needed a space capable of carrying both mental power and the consciousness of another personality. After countless experiments comparing magic cores and transparent crystals, Taylor had ultimately chosen the zombie transparent crystal, which had better transmission effects, greater capacity, and the best overall performance.
After completely transferring the part of his mental space related to Kano into the Magic Mech, Taylor looked at the Magic Mech before him with concern.
Ever since learning this technique, he had barely put it into practice. This could be considered his first time, so he did not know how effective it would be.
Under Taylor's gaze, the Magic Mech's fingers twitched. Its tightly shut metal eyelids slowly opened, revealing eyes filled with darkness, negativity, and the desire for destruction.
Confirmed. Those were familiar emotions.
The moment he noticed the emotions conveyed by those eyes, Taylor let out a sigh of relief. That was right—this was definitely Kano, separated from his mental space. Such twisted and dark emotions simply did not exist in normal people.
