The next day, when Naruto got up, Karin had already made breakfast.
It made Naruto feel rather embarrassed. He had only taken her in because he felt sorry for her, yet now she was the one taking care of him.
It felt as though he had some ulterior motive. Though he had explained it many times, Karin still could not change her ways and always saw herself as a nanny.
Naruto felt a little helpless. While he enjoyed it, it sometimes made him feel uncomfortable as well.
"Karin, do you want to go watch the matches today?"
Naruto reminded her.
"No."
Karin shook her head. She did not have a favorable impression of ninjas now.
Naruto did not insist.
"The books in the study are relics my mother left behind that I sorted through. If you're interested, you can take a look."
Afraid she might get bored, Naruto mentioned it.
Karin did not quite understand.
"They're all books about the Uzumaki clan."
Naruto gave her a hint, then turned and left.
"Big Brother Naruto really is so warm."
Karin was instantly moved.
In truth, she had already awakened the Mind's Eye of the Kagura by this point.
It was another bright, sunny day. There were far fewer people on the streets today. Konoha rarely had such a lively event, especially one ordinary civilians could watch.
Many people had already gone early to claim good spots.
After meeting up with Hinata, the two arrived at the exam venue.
The stands outside were already packed.
