Background
Sasuke leaves Konoha with the Uchiha clan and grows up in Iwagakure. There, Yoru gives him intensive training, including a gravity seal used to develop his Lightning Release. Naruto becomes both his closest friend and his fiercest rival 11 37.
At six, Sasuke trains against Orochimaru’s combat puppets but is nearly overwhelmed by three at once. Naruto saves him with an Earth Release wall. Later, Yoru uses Tsukuyomi to make Sasuke believe Naruto is in danger; Sasuke’s instinct to protect him triggers his two-tomoe Sharingan. By seven, he is still losing many of their spars, but tells his older brother Itachi that he intends to surpass them both 58 73.
Sasuke captains an Iwagakure squad at the Chūnin Exams in Konoha. He overwhelms the written-test proctors with his Sharingan and killing intent, then defeats Neji Hyuga by piercing Rotation with Chidori 92 99 108.

Personality

He is difficult to manipulate through promises of power. When Black Zetsu claims Yoru wants to steal his eyes, Sasuke rejects the story, cites what Yoru and Orochimaru have taught him, and insists on gaining strength himself. Later, he questions whether mass-produced ocular enhancements will weaken shinobi combat instincts 158 159 291.
