Background

In the original future timeline, Naruto and Uchiha Yoru were defeated by Isshiki Ōtsutsuki. Naruto entrusted his remaining chakra to Yoru, reviving him and setting in motion Yoru's return to the past. 1

Naruto was born during the Nine-Tails' attack on Konohagakure. As Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki prepared to use the Reaper Death Seal while their life forces faded, Uchiha Yoru intervened and saved the family. 1 3

Yoru later revealed that Konoha's leadership intended to conceal Naruto's parentage, isolate him as the “demon fox,” and shape him into a controllable weapon. Minato and Kushina chose to leave Konoha with Yoru and the defecting Uchiha Clan, taking Naruto to Iwagakure. 9 10

In Iwagakure, Naruto's status as the Nine-Tails jinchūriki was kept secret. The village instead knew him as Minato's son, and he grew up openly cherished by the villagers rather than feared or isolated. 24
