The wooden spike felt all wrong going in. There was none of that crisp resistance of piercing bone and drawing hot blood. Sen's palm went numb. The flesh on Obito's back was like boiling sludge, the rotten meat clamping around the spike and forcibly blunting its edge. Sen frowned and flicked his wrist. Grayish-white slime clogged his fingernails. The stench of dead fish and rotten shrimp made his stomach churn.
"Have you gone a few hundred years without bathing?" Pinching his nose, Sen backed away and wiped his hand on his trouser leg in disgust. "You were a perfectly good living person, and you just had to turn yourself into this pile of sludge. That's fucking disgusting." Obito said nothing, exhaling foul, blood-reeking air. Beneath his feet, the hill-sized Ten-Tails shuddered as though seized by convulsions and began pouring frantically into his back.
"Obito, have you lost your mind?! If you force the Ten-Tails into your body, your mind will be torn to pieces!" Below, Kakashi stamped his feet in panic, muddy water and sweat dripping from his chin. Naruto clutched Kakashi's vest with all his strength and looked up, his blond hair plastered with mud. "Kakashi-sensei, why's that huge monster shrinking? Is it going to explode?!"
"Explode, my ass. Ignorant brat." Standing on a broken stone monument, Madara sneered and dusted off his hands, his eyes fixed on the ball of flesh overhead. "Who would have thought this half-baked Uchiha would actually have the guts to become the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki? Sen Senju, if you'd just twisted his head off earlier, we wouldn't have this bullshit to deal with. Get ready to bury this rotten world."
"Quit making snide remarks, Old Madara. His neck was too filthy. I didn't want to get my hands dirty." Sen picked his ear nonchalantly.
