Naruto grew up without his parents and was known at the Ninja Academy as the “dead last,” often using loud pranks and reckless behavior to gain attention. Despite this reputation, he consistently declared his goal of becoming Hokage and refused to abandon it when challenged. 148 153

During the Chūnin Exams, Naruto intervened to save Konohamaru from Kankurō, confronted hostile competitors without hesitation, and fought Neji in the finals. Though Neji sealed his chakra points, Naruto drew on the Nine-Tails and continued fighting. 143 144 177

Naruto's failure to bring Sasuke back caused him to lose control of the Nine-Tails' chakra.
