Hokage Building Showdown! The Old Dog Danzo Dies on the Spot, and the Third Hokage Gives a Tearful Thumbs-Up
At the top floor of the Hokage Building, the atmosphere suddenly froze.
Kamizuki Yu appeared without warning, carrying Danzo Shimura, who was bound up like a rice dumpling by Adamantine Sealing Chains, and casually tossed him onto the cold floor.
With a muffled bang, dust billowed up.
Beside him, a mountain-like pile of scrolls and documents appeared out of thin air, radiating an air of decay and evil.
"Summon the Fourth Hokage, the Third Hokage, and the two elder advisors." Kamizuki Yu's voice was calm, yet carried an undeniable authority. "The trial begins."
The moment his words fell, a yellow flash swept past, and Minato Namikaze had already appeared in the office.
He looked at Danzo on the floor, then at Kamizuki Yu, his face filled with shock.
Close behind him, Hiruzen Sarutobi, Homura Mitokado, and Koharu Utatane hurried in as well.
When Hiruzen Sarutobi saw the mud-like figure sprawled on the ground and that once-familiar face now filled with nothing but venomous hatred, the pipe in his hand nearly slipped free.
Pain, disappointment, and disbelief intertwined across his aged face.
"Kamizuki-kun, this..." Minato said, his tone probing and grave.
Kamizuki Yu did not answer directly. He merely pointed at the mountain of evidence.
"Here are some of the 'achievements' of Danzo Shimura and his Root organization over the past several decades."
"He secretly established assassination squads to eliminate dissidents. The list is here." He casually picked up a scroll.
"He conducted Hashirama Cells transplant experiments. The victims are countless, and the experimental records are horrifying." Another stack of documents was pushed forward.
"He was one of the masterminds behind the Uchiha Clan massacre and attempted to steal Shisui's Kotoamatsukami. The evidence is conclusive."
"He colluded with Hanzo of the Salamander of the Hidden Rain Village, attempting to subvert the governments of smaller nations and meddle in other countries."
"He secretly interfered in the internal affairs of other nations, stirred up conflicts, and profited from them."
"He brutally persecuted those within the Hidden Leaf who held differing views, even conducting human experiments..."
With every charge Kamizuki Yu listed, a corresponding scroll or document was precisely delivered by chakra before the four senior officials.
The air seemed to congeal.
Minato's expression shifted from initial shock to livid fury. His fists clenched unconsciously, his knuckles turning white. As the Fourth Hokage, he had known so little about such an enormous cancer within the village.
What a grievous failure of duty!
Hiruzen Sarutobi lowered his head, his body trembling slightly.
Memories churned through his mind. Their youthful rivalry, their vow to protect the Hidden Leaf together, their open and covert struggles in the arena of power... So behind all of it, there had been such filthy dealings and the blood of innocents.
What a failure he had been as the Third Hokage!
Homura Mitokado and Koharu Utatane opened their mouths, but no words came out.
They had often shared Danzo's political views and had even secretly supported him in certain matters. But the mountain of irrefutable evidence before them—every single piece was enough to nail Danzo to the pillar of shame. How could they defend him?
At this moment, any excuse would be feeble and futile. It might even bring disaster upon themselves.
Danzo, lying on the floor, made hoarse rasping sounds in his throat. His single eye was filled with venom and resentment as he stared fixedly at Kamizuki Yu, then turned to Hiruzen Sarutobi, as though he wanted to drag him into hell with his gaze.
Kamizuki Yu paid no attention to his dying struggle.
"These are merely the tip of the iceberg." His tone remained calm. "The Root base has already been completely purged by me. Not a single core member was spared."
Minato abruptly raised his head. "You..."
Kamizuki Yu met his gaze. "Lord Fourth Hokage, for a cancer entrenched in the flesh of the Hidden Leaf, were you expecting it to cleanse itself?"
His words were utterly blunt, but they also laid bare a cruel truth.
Someone like Danzo could never be eradicated without decisive, thunderous measures.
Minato fell silent. He understood what Kamizuki Yu meant. There were certain things that he, as Hokage, could not conveniently do—or rather, with too many concerns holding him back, could not do so thoroughly.
The atmosphere in the office grew oppressive to the extreme.
After a long while, Hiruzen Sarutobi let out a long sigh, as though he had aged another ten years in an instant.
He slowly raised his head and looked at Minato with clouded eyes, his voice hoarse and weary. "Minato... you are the Hokage. You will handle this matter with full authority."
Those words nearly drained all the strength from his body.
This was not only the abandonment of Danzo, but also, to some extent, a denial of his own decades-long rule.
Homura Mitokado and Koharu Utatane exchanged glances, each seeing terror in the other's eyes.
The Third Hokage's words were equivalent to sentencing Danzo to death.
Minato took a deep breath, and his face regained the decisiveness and authority of a Hokage.
He rose to his feet, his gaze sweeping over Danzo on the floor, his voice icy. "Danzo Shimura, as an elder of the Hidden Leaf, you committed such vile and despicable acts. Your crimes are unforgivable!"
"In the name of the Fourth Hokage, I declare!"
"First, all positions and authority held by Danzo Shimura are revoked. His status as a Hidden Leaf shinobi is stripped!"
"Second, the Root organization is to be disbanded immediately. Any Root member found to have participated in core crimes will be severely punished without exception!"
"Third, as for you, Danzo Shimura..."
Minato's gaze fell upon Kamizuki Yu, carrying a trace of inquiry.
Kamizuki Yu spoke calmly. "Permanently imprisoning trash like him would only waste food. Besides, the Sharingan on that arm of his, as well as the powers inside him that do not belong to him, should be returned to their rightful owners."
His meaning was clear.
Keeping someone like Danzo alive would only invite disaster. That arm of his was even more a collection of sins.
Minato understood. Kamizuki Yu had already removed the Hidden Leaf's greatest threat. The remaining matter naturally needed to be handled cleanly and decisively.
"Then leave him to you." Minato made his decision.
Hiruzen Sarutobi closed his eyes, unable to bear watching any longer.
Kamizuki Yu slowly walked toward Danzo, who lay limp as mud.
"I told you before. The power of the First Hokage's cells is not something a man like you can control."
Before his words had even faded, he reached out and placed his palm over Danzo's arm, the one implanted with First Hokage cells and countless Sharingan.
Wood Release: Parasitic Wood Extraction!
"Aaaahhh—!"
A shrill scream echoed through the Hokage Office, only to be instantly cut off by an invisible force, never reaching the outside world.
Under everyone's horrified gazes, that arm covered in Sharingan—the arm that had once given Danzo countless chances at "rebirth"—was forcibly torn from his body by Kamizuki Yu!
Green Wood Release chakra surged forth, instantly sealing the blood vessels at the severed limb. Not a single drop of blood spurted out.
Expressionless, Kamizuki Yu completely wrapped and sealed the severed arm with Wood Release: Thorn Kill, cutting off every chakra connection within it and turning it into an ugly wooden sphere.
"As for you..."
He looked at Danzo's body, now completely devoid of life, without the slightest trace of pity.
For someone like this, any mercy would be blasphemy against the dead.
A miniature version of Wood Release: Nativity of a World of Trees appeared in his palm. Several tiny wooden branches, like nimble venomous snakes, instantly burrowed into Danzo's corpse.
A moment later, the branches withdrew, skewering several eyeballs still streaked with blood—Danzo's own eye, along with the other Sharingan he had secretly implanted.
"I'll handle these." Kamizuki Yu sealed away those Sharingan as well.
After finishing all this, he looked at Minato and Hiruzen Sarutobi. "Danzo's evidence is all here. I'll leave the subsequent reckoning to Lord Hokage."
"The darkness of the Hidden Leaf should finally be fully exposed to the sunlight."
Minato nodded solemnly. "I will. Kamizuki-kun, thank you for this."
Those words of gratitude came from the bottom of his heart.
If not for Kamizuki Yu, who knew how much longer Danzo, this cancer, would have remained entrenched?
Kamizuki Yu gave a slight nod, his gaze sweeping over the scrolls. "The Uchiha Clan should also receive true vindication."
He picked up the wooden sphere containing Danzo's severed arm and turned to leave.
"Those stolen eyes will see the light again."
