Forbidden technique: Impure World Reincarnation.
Impure World Reincarnation summoned the soul of a deceased person back into a corpse by using a corpse and the caster's chakra. The revived ninja returned to the state they had been in while alive, retaining their abilities and memories, and fought under the user's control.
The caster needed exceptional knowledge of ninjutsu and powerful chakra. When using this technique, the caster would usually recite specific incantations and draw a sealing formation on the ground.
The revived ninja usually retained their skills and combat experience, allowing the caster to make use of their formidable combat power.
Revived ninja did not feel pain and could disregard their own safety in battle.
The caster could control the revived ninja as needed, making them carry out specific tasks.
Impure World Reincarnation required the user to expend a massive amount of chakra, and controlling the revived would impose a mental burden on the caster.
The revived were bound by seals and could not act with complete freedom. If the caster's chakra ran out, they would die once more.
The revived relied heavily on the caster's control in battle, losing their free will.
Uchiha Feng murmured softly, a trace of surprise in his voice. "Even a forbidden technique like Impure World Reincarnation is here. Konoha's foundation truly is extraordinary."
He understood that the brutality of the Fourth Shinobi World War had been due precisely to the existence of this forbidden technique. Countless heroic souls had been resurrected, allowing them to wage fierce battles against the Allied Forces and pushing the war into a deadlock for a time.
Even more strikingly, these forbidden technique scrolls contained many familiar ninjutsu.
For example, the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique. Though it appeared to be a basic ninjutsu, the Second Hokage had made an exceptionally ingenious improvement upon it, granting it far greater power.
In the original story, Naruto, the protagonist, had relied on this very ninjutsu to cut through every obstacle and overcome countless dangers and challenges.
It could be said that the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique had forged Naruto's legendary path, allowing him to write his own glorious chapter in the world of ninja.
Uchiha Feng was now facing the greatest trouble of his life—Uchiha Itachi's illness. Although his combat strength had already grown powerful enough to rival Hashirama, he knew nothing at all about medicine and was completely at a loss.
What am I supposed to do? I can't just watch my little brother walk into a dead end like this! Anxiety filled his heart as Itachi's frail figure repeatedly flashed through his mind, as though those eyes that had once shone with determination were gradually dimming.
Uchiha Feng clenched his fists, his gaze firm and profound. "The greatest medical ninja in the shinobi world is undoubtedly Tsunade." He pondered silently, but Tsunade was a member of the Senju Clan. Would she truly be willing to help the Uchiha Clan?
He could not help recalling the shadows of history. The Senju and Uchiha had once been sworn enemies, bound by blood-deep hatred. Though they had eventually joined hands to establish Konoha, it was not easy to let go of those old grievances, and the trust between them remained as fragile as glass, liable to shatter at any moment.
Just as his thoughts sank deeper, Uchiha Feng's eyes lit up, as if a spark of inspiration had flashed through his mind.
"A deal," he murmured. "In this world, only ties of mutual interest are the most reliable bonds."
He quietly calculated that perhaps he could find some way to establish a relationship of shared interests.
Time passed slowly. The first ray of dawn slipped through the curtains and into the room, illuminating the Uchiha Clan Compound.
A trace of freshness filled the morning air, while birds chirped merrily among the branches, as though warming up for the meeting to come.
That day, the Uchiha Clan Compound welcomed a rare visitor—the head of the Hyuga Clan's main house, Hiashi Hyuga.
As the leaders of two great bloodline clans, they had rarely interacted with one another, making this meeting especially noteworthy.
Within the spacious reception hall, the atmosphere was solemn yet subtle. Uchiha Fugaku sat upright on one side, a stern expression on his face. His gaze was as sharp as a hawk's, constantly assessing Hiashi Hyuga across from him. His posture was straight, radiating an imposing air of authority.
Hiashi Hyuga, meanwhile, appeared calm and unhurried, his brows carrying a measure of composure and confidence. His expression revealed deep consideration for the future, as though he would be able to handle the conversation calmly no matter what it concerned.
Though the two clan heads exchanged no words, a tense air permeated their standoff, as if gathering strength for the discussion to follow.
Uchiha Fugaku frowned slightly, a trace of caution in his voice. "May I ask why Clan Head Hyuga has come today?" His words carried a hint of coldness, as though making it clear that he did not welcome this sudden meeting.
Hiashi Hyuga's gaze was piercing as he replied evenly, "Clan Head Fugaku, do you remember the Nine-Tails' Rampage that swept across all of Konoha three years ago?" His words were like a sharp blade, aimed directly at that painful past.
"What are you trying to say?" Uchiha Fugaku's voice grew slightly hurried, his brows tightly furrowed. "Just say it. The Uchiha Clan has long since withdrawn from the world and no longer takes part in Konoha's high-level power struggles." There was a hint of displeasure in his attitude, as though warning the other man not to pry too deeply.
Hiashi Hyuga smiled faintly, his expression still mild, but his words became increasingly firm. "I want to know who that Uchiha ninja was, the one who severed the Nine-Tails' body during the Nine-Tails' Rampage. From what I understand, he was only a child at the time, about the same age as Uchiha Itachi, wasn't he?" His voice was like a gentle breeze, yet turbulent waves lurked beneath it.
"Hmph!" Uchiha Fugaku's face darkened, his voice filled with disdain. "There is no such thing. You have come to the wrong person. Our Uchiha Clan does not possess that kind of ability."
Hiashi Hyuga pointed at his own eyes and said firmly, "The Byakugan of the Hyuga Clan is no mere decoration. It can see through everything. That ninja who flew through the sky was undoubtedly a member of the Uchiha Clan. There is no way I could have mistaken those Sharingan."
Uchiha Fugaku frowned slightly, his gaze sharp as a blade as he asked coldly, "Hiashi Hyuga, are you threatening me?"
Hiashi Hyuga shook his head, curiosity and persistence glinting in his eyes. "In truth, I could have chosen not to report this matter to Konoha's higher-ups at all. I only want to know that ninja's identity."
Uchiha Fugaku fell into thought, his brows tightly knitted as he weighed the matter in silence. He knew well that revealing Uchiha Feng's strength so easily would inevitably bring unnecessary trouble.
Uchiha Feng was the Uchiha Clan's most powerful secret weapon, possessing strength sufficient to destroy everything. He was also Uchiha Fugaku's greatest pride.
