Background / History
Konoha was jointly founded by Hashirama Senju and Uchiha Madara. Its early years brought numerous clans together under Hashirama’s leadership, though cooperation between clans coexisted with conflict. 26
Following the Second Hokage’s death, the Senju Clan remained influential but suffered severe losses during the Second Shinobi World War. By the era of the story, Tsunade is described as the clan’s last prominent survivor, while tensions between Konoha’s leadership and its major clans have intensified. 25 26
In Year 47 of Konoha, the disappearance of the Third Kazekage was suspected to be connected to the village, becoming the catalyst for the Third Shinobi World War. Konoha fought the Hidden Stone Village along its borders during the conflict. 3
The Nine-Tails later attacked Konoha, spreading panic and destruction through the village. Minato Namikaze sealed the Yang half of the Nine-Tails into Naruto Uzumaki and the Yin half into himself before sacrificing his life to protect Konoha. 7
Three years after the attack, the Uchiha Clan had become isolated from village life and was relocated to Konoha’s outskirts. Uchiha Feng and Fugaku responded by withdrawing the clan from Konoha’s political sphere and formally relinquishing its Military Police Force positions. 8 10
Konoha later entered a period of decline under the aging Hiruzen Sarutobi, whose remaining elite jōnin were comparatively few. Conversely, the Uchiha Clan's Maple Special Operations Squad became a major source of the village's military strength after all three of its members awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan. 56
After Hiruzen's death, Tsunade returned to become the Fifth Hokage, appointing Uchiha Feng as her assistant despite objections from Koharu and Homura. 58 Feng subsequently resurrected Hashirama, Tobirama, Hiruzen, and Minato in genuine living bodies, returning multiple former Hokage to Konoha's political life. 158
Akatsuki's assault severely damaged more than half of Konoha, but Tsunade's defense limited casualties and allowed the village to begin a major reconstruction program funded in part by Feng. Three years later, Konoha had been rebuilt into a more prosperous village with improved living standards and a new Hokage Building. 115 116
As external threats intensified, Konoha became the center of Uchiha Feng's plan to replace the divided shinobi-village system with the Ninja Star Federation. The plan retained local village autonomy while establishing common administration, resource coordination, cultural exchange, and joint training. By Federation Calendar Year 10, the Five Great Shinobi Villages had integrated into the Federation. 239 259 311
Government and Institutions
- Hokage — Hiruzen Sarutobi previously served as the Third Hokage, directing village affairs from the Hokage Building and handling diplomatic negotiations. After his death, Tsunade became the Fifth Hokage, while Orochimaru was later selected as the Sixth Hokage following a formal assessment. 19 30 58 243
- Konoha Kage — In the Federation era, Hatake Kakashi represents Konoha as its Kage, while the traditional Kage offices continue with reduced authority under the Ninja Star Federation. 311
- Hokage's Assistant — Uchiha Feng was appointed Tsunade's assistant and became a central participant in Konoha's military, political, and institutional reforms. 58 258

- Root — A covert faction formerly led by Shimura Danzō. It acted independently against perceived threats, including attempts to restrict Uchiha Feng from leaving Konoha and demands to search the Uchiha compound. 14 23
- Konoha Military Police Force — Formerly staffed by the Uchiha Clan until Fugaku formally withdrew the clan from the organization. 10
- Maple Special Operations Squad — An elite Uchiha unit associated with Feng and composed of powerful Sharingan users. Its members became an important component of Konoha's defense and intelligence network. 29 56 153
Major Locations
- Hokage Building — The seat of Konoha’s administration and negotiations with foreign delegations. It was destroyed when Hiruzen attacked Uchiha Feng’s Thunderfire Clone, then hastily rebuilt before the Hidden Cloud delegation arrived. Following Akatsuki's later attack, a new and more imposing Hokage Building was completed during Konoha's reconstruction. 27 30 116
- Uchiha Clan Compound — The Uchiha residential territory, later placed under strict guard amid escalating conflict with Danzō and the village leadership. It later became a center for the clan's defensive activities and political meetings. 8 23 239

- Konoha Prison — A secured detention facility used to imprison and guard Ōtsutsuki Ren after his capture. 235
Internal Conflict
Konoha’s leadership increasingly views the Uchiha Clan as a potential threat, while the Uchiha see Danzō and the higher-ups as seeking to suppress or weaken them. This distrust escalates after the Nine-Tails’ attack, when Danzō implies that the Uchiha may have been involved. 7 22
Danzō later attempts to search the Uchiha compound over unexplained chakra fluctuations. Fugaku rejects the demand, declares that intruders into Uchiha territory will be killed, and places the clan on alert. Hiruzen intervenes but fails to resolve the dispute. 23
Uchiha Feng repeatedly attacks Root in retaliation for its actions against the Uchiha, eventually confronting Hiruzen directly and threatening him over Danzō’s whereabouts. 9 25
The Uchiha Clan's role changed substantially during Akatsuki's invasion. Its members evacuated civilians and defended the village, replacing much of the public's prior suspicion with respect and praise. 112 115
Neji Hyuga's actions later devastated the Hyuga Clan, although subsequent Konoha leadership meetings identify Hinata as the clan's current head, indicating the clan's surviving or reconstituted leadership. 141 258
Foreign Relations
Hidden Cloud Village
Konoha receives a Hidden Cloud delegation to sign a peace agreement while Hiruzen is recovering from his injuries. The envoys secretly investigate the Hyuga Clan compound and attempt to abduct Hinata Hyuga for her Byakugan. 30 31
After Hiashi Hyuga kills the infiltrating envoy, the delegation demands an explanation. Hiruzen promises a resolution within three days to prevent war, while Hiashi resists surrendering anyone from the Hyuga Clan. 32
The incident forces Hiashi into a compromise to avoid further conflict, leaving the Hyuga Clan resentful of Konoha’s handling of the crisis. 33
Kumogakure later suffered major destruction at the hands of Uchiha Feng and Tsunade, worsening the Raikage's hostility toward Konoha. A subsequent delegation was sent with the stated demand that Konoha surrender the injured Feng, while its concealed objective included seizing the Nine-Tails and Hyuga bloodline. 48 51 70
The resulting crisis brought Killer B and the Eight-Tails into Konoha, where Akatsuki's Uzumaki Feng infiltrated the village and absorbed the Eight-Tails' chakra. The unleashed Eight-Tails then threatened Konoha until Tsunade intervened. 73 74 77
Uchiha and Hyuga Clans
Hiashi seeks a marriage alliance with the Uchiha Clan, arguing that both clans may eventually face pressure from Konoha’s higher-ups. Fugaku and Feng treat the proposal cautiously. 13
Later, Feng and Hiashi negotiate a broader alliance, with Feng demanding financial support for the secluded Uchiha Clan. 34
Four Shadows Alliance
The Kage of Kumogakure, Iwagakure, Sunagakure, and Kirigakure formed the Four Shadows Alliance to oppose and eradicate Konoha, motivated by fear of Konoha's growing strength and their own political and financial pressures. 151 157
The alliance launched incursions along the Land of Fire's borders, but Konoha regarded its own military position as overwhelmingly superior. Konoha's main force later returned in victory, prompting a village-wide celebration. 161 176
Ninja Star Federation
Following the Ōtsutsuki Clan's attacks and the deaths of the Raikage and Tsuchikage, Konoha hosted emergency discussions with Gaara and Mei Terumi on a new system for the ninja world. 258
Feng proposed the Ninja Star Federation as an organization based on shared resources, local autonomy, representative decision-making, and collective defense. Konoha's major clans and senior leadership debated and supported the proposal, which eventually brought the Five Great Ninja Villages into a unified federation. 259 311
Qianyu Xi, a visitor from another world, describes her home world's Ninja Star Federation as the ninja world's highest governing and law-enforcement body, founded and chaired by Uchiha Feng. 321
