Half-Orcs (II)

The number of orcs was simply no match for the number of half-orcs.

Combined with the orcs' widespread discrimination against half-orcs, war broke out as expected.

In the end, the orcs were unable to withstand the rebellion of their mixed-blood descendants and were wiped out completely.

Thus, the final victors left upon this land were the half-orcs.

But by this time, the half-orcs were no longer the original half-orcs. There were not even any pure-blooded humans left, let alone the knowledge once possessed by humanity.

Knowledge without extraordinary power, left wholly unprotected by the savage orcs, was swallowed up and vanished into the long river of history.

The half-orcs continued down the old path of the orcs, maintaining their rule through tribes and clans.

In truth, they were no different from the orcs of old. The only difference was that they had overthrown orc rule and become the rulers themselves.

Half-orcs looked much like orcs as well.

Ordinary orcs usually had black fur, wolf-like ears, and reddish eyes.

Their skin was filthy with a faint greenish tinge, and their equipment also looked dirty from lack of maintenance.

Half-orcs were somewhat better off. Being mixed-blooded, they had far less fur and cared more about cleanliness.

Half-orcs generally stood around six chi tall, while female half-orcs were somewhat shorter. They favored brightly colored clothing, such as scarlet, bright yellow, deep purple, and so on.

Most orcs followed professions such as barbarian. Their intelligence was low, and such professions suited them perfectly.

Mixed-blood half-orcs, however, could master far more professions than orcs.

They could generally master ordinary extraordinary professions as well, though they currently had no mages.

Nor did they have priests. These half-orcs practiced ancestor worship and believed in their own forebears.
