Background / History

Li Yi founded and ruled Great Xia as its Heavenly Emperor. By the time of his return from a prolonged Spirit Realm war, he commanded the Founding Imperial Guards: an elite force whose ordinary soldiers were Saint Domain combatants and whose officers were Legends. He ordered the eradication of the God of Twilight's faith within a year and convened a Grand Court Assembly upon returning to Blue Star 754 756.

He maintained a feudal system and encouraged nobles, private factions, and provinces to cultivate armed strength. This was preparation for Blue Star's eventual absorption by the Spirit Realm, which he believed would shatter the planet into scattered fragments vulnerable to conquest, slavery, or extermination 913 914.

Li Yi eventually disclosed his greater plan to Huo Ling: ascend to godhood, preserve Great Xia's territory, and elevate it into a Heavenly Realm. Though he acknowledged the restrictions of godhood, he considered the sacrifice necessary to secure Great Xia's future 913 914.

He began a divine war against the God of Twilight with Huo Ling's support and Floating City. After Great Xia's costly victory, Li Yi claimed the defeated god's divine spark and ascended as the new God of Twilight 1008 1013 1014.

Later, he absorbed the God of Dawn's divine kingdom, changed his divine name to the God of Dawn, and continued expanding his faith and territory. After reaching Greater Divine Power, he severed Great Xia from Blue Star and elevated its remaining continent into the Great Xia Celestial Realm 1032 1035 1038.
