Background / History

En Zuo was an orphan in his previous life and came to value the companionship he found after arriving at Monster Academy. En Ci took him in at the academy gates, cared for him, and passed on his knowledge without reservation; En Zuo regards him as his teacher rather than his biological father. 2 40

At eleven, En Zuo was already a three-ring Soul Elder selected for Monster Academy's Eight Heavenly Kings. He rejected the existing lineup as insufficient to defeat Shrek Academy and withdrew to build his own team for the All-Continent Youth Advanced Elite Tournament. 1

His Crystal Staff grants access to Narak, an innate domain capable of crossing time and space. Using it, En Zuo sought out exceptional soul masters from other eras and timelines rather than relying on contemporary Star Luo talent. His first recruit was Huo Yuhao, whom he brought from the Peerless Tang Clan era to Monster Academy. 1 2 5

While pursuing an evolution opportunity for Demon Ding in the first Douluo era, En Zuo obtained the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger's inner core. The encounter mutated his Crystal Staff and created Nightmare Power, a malignant force that later became central to his cultivation and battle armor. 15 16 28

En Zuo subsequently recruited or worked alongside Tang San, Bibi Dong, Qian Renxue, Bo Saixi, Dai Linger, and Huo Yuhao, forming Monster Academy's so-called Golden Generation. Personality

En Zuo is intensely ambitious, calculating, and confident in his own potential. He refuses to accept Monster Academy's subordinate position to Shrek and plans years ahead, recruiting future powerhouses and pursuing resources that can overturn established limits. 1 8 40

Despite his arrogance toward opponents he considers untalented, he is generally courteous to strangers and notably humble when discussing En Ci. He does not underestimate strong opponents, even when he believes victory is likely. 20 34 39

He is deeply protective of Demon Ding and supportive of his companions' growth.
