Background

Long Yue is En Ci’s third disciple, following Dai Tianling and Tong Yu. Like En Zuo, he possesses a top-tier dragon-type martial soul and bears expectations to become one of Monster Academy’s pillars. His potential is considered sufficient to reach Ultimate Douluo if he cultivates steadily. 30

Before his martial soul flaw is addressed, the violent Mountain Dragon King bloodline leaves him vulnerable to madness and prevents him from using his soul skills freely. His spiritual power is poorly suited to suppressing this instability despite dedicated training, making the flaw especially severe for an assault-type soul master. 30

En Zuo obtains the Earth Dragon Golden Melon and Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum for him. Under En Zuo and Tang San’s guard, Long Yue refines the herbs, reaches the Soul King realm, and finds the madness in his bloodline largely subdued. The treatment also increases his control over earth-element power and strengthens his body. 30

Over the following years, additional immortal herbs and his improved spiritual power fully remedy the Mountain Dragon King bloodline’s instability.
